All his defensive numbers are still great and he is great vs big centers like Embiid or even Jokic (bit tougher b/c of popping ability)

He is so sound with angles, anticipation, and he is still a big body

I would love if we can get Gasol

I wonder if Kuzma and or Mcgee are still on the table for any trade

I mean we just need a big dude incase we play the nuggets, him being able to shoot is a plus as well.

I think wed beat them either way I think, I don't put them in the same level of threat as the bucks or the nets, or even the clippers tbh, but having one would be nice.

Pelinka's made it clear we aren't doing a trade with kuz involved.

I haven't heard anything on bogdan and Atlanta, is that still possible? a sign and trade of kcp/javale doesn't sound to enticing though lol

If the Nuggets can't offset the loss of Grant the improvement of the rest of their cast is probably not enough to make up for the loss against the Lakers, tbh.

Trez is definitely going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder, so I'm not as pessimistic about him as others.

because we have alot of scorers now vs before, lebron and davis's scoring numbers are prolly gonna go down a bit, schroder and harrell are both 20ppg guys, although they prolly wont get that here

Theres value in having alot of scoring threats on the court, i think we could be the best offensive team in the league next year even in the RS. I mean we were basically top 3 or 5 pre bubble, and number 1 in the playoffs

We could potentially have the best offensive and defensive team in the nba lmao

If we get bogdan somehow we legitimately have 5 guys that would be a top 3 offensive player on any team in the nba lol

KOC is reporting that the Lakers are still pursuing Bogdan but the Hawks are considered the favorites. I definitely prefer KCP over Bogi.

Why out of curiousity?

Bogdan just seems better at everything outside of defense and hes not like a liability or anything

I feel if we got bogdan we'd have an ATG offense personally

Being the Lakers is almost too easy in the NBA, especially if a guy like LeBron decides hops on board.

Hopefully when LeBron retires the Lakers go back to being trash, because i kind of want to see teams that have organically build up a culture and made smart moves year after year to develop into contending team have their decisions pay off...

If you're someone like the Grizzlies, it must be annoying a plastic franchise like the Lakers can just swoop in out of nowhere and jump ahead of you working and making better moves than them for 6 years just because a superstar athlete like LeBron wants to be in that market/environment and reap the benefits of it.

This might sound like i'm mad, because i am. Good thing i'm a LeBron fan so it doesn't bother me even if i am mad, but it's definitely not something i like for the league. Also Kawhi trying to pull his own version of this for the Clippers and now KD/Kyrie and potentially Harden teaming up in New York only further emphasize the advantge of big market teams.

If i want to watch three, four teams have a monopoly on the entire competition almost every decade then i'd go watch European sports...

In the last 30 years weve won 11 championships, its a laker thing

Other teams will get oppertunities through some way through big picks or lucky breaks, but the lakers are pretty constant. The championship drought was the second longest since the 80s actually, but tbf we did have good pieces to trade for AD

Defense is important but its not ALL about defense

At the end of the day

Schroder>>rondo
Matthews>green (playoff green at least, and hes not looking great lately)
Montrez potentially could be better than dwight too, depending on a variety of things bu offensively definately better

You have to be at least very good on defense if you wanna win, tho. In a vacuum, yes these players are probably better. But LA lost a lot of versatility. And with KCP and Morris back they will be above the apron(can't sign vet mins or recieve additional salary in a trade).

Outside of harrell, matthews is a better man defender than green which is more important if we are talking about versatility, and schroder is a far better one than rondo

Lou Williams worked magic with Harrell on the pick and roll over the last few years so imagine that action with Lebron now. He was exposed defensively in the Denver series and I’m gonna have to hold my nose to root for him after the Luka fiasco, but at this contract I can’t complain. The scoring punch he will bring off the bench, his energy and fire are all welcome additions. And the fact that this hurts the Clippers is a bonus...

They are having a great offseason. Hope they can land Gasol now for some beef.

I personally think that playff Rondo is a better defender than Schroder

Matthews is better man defender, but he can't guard Luka, Kawhi or KD. He's worse as a team defender, so I'm not so sure they are better on the wing.

Harrell is a huge downgrade from Dwight. I just don't get why would they invest so much resources into their own version of Lou/Harrell
