KD played well, but it kind of feels like... of course he did. It's hard to even rate his performance at all to me, tbh.

He had a 32.6 Per in the finals. Wonder if he passed Shaq for highest gamescore? Too lazy to plug the numbers in will just wait for b-ref tomorrow lol

Yeah but let's say we give some harsh handicap like it's worth 6 PPG and 6 TS% of an advantage that's still 29.2 PPG on 63.4 TS% which would be considered fantastic scoring.

I think this is better than any series he's had even adjusting for less responsibility than his thunder series

I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

Safe to say that it's a good time to be a Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry fan lol. So proud of these 2. Both supported each other so much throughout the whole season despite the growing pains. I'm glad both found a great chemistry between each other eventually and both are able to produce at their best level at the same time. Having the ability to be elite off-ball players is certainly the main reason why is that possible. Great SF/PG match.

This is what teams want when they throw together star offensive players. It never works this well, because no on can match their collection of shooters, but this is the video game style, only good shots offense that teams crave.

They can literally isolate and force a double, pass,, cause a scramble and move the ball until a great shooter gets a high percentage shot on basicaly every possession.

Oh. And then their two stars are amazing difficult shot creators as well.

I really don't think anyone is beating them with a perimeter oriented offense. You just can't match their scoring power there.

Great finals by KD, he's such an elite scorer and dealt with all the pressure on him really well. I am happy for him, he didn't deserve all the hate he got for his very reasonable and rational decision to join the team that gave him by far the best chance for titles (sorry, OKC fans). Hopefully now all the idiotic talk about how he's just a passenger or a luxury for GSW will die down.

On another note... KD broke the 30+ GmSc mark on basketball reference for the NBA Finals. This is a feat neither MJ nor Lebron posted up in the finals. Shaq had 2 (00 and 02). That is pretty impressive to say the least.

Durant had one of the best finals i have ever seen from a player no one has been a volume scorer at that efficiency ever. Not mention the offensive when he was on the court was **** nuts the guy i think has the highest gs of all time at 30.4 not sure though.

Also no other MVP caliber scorer ever played with such player like Curry. Cavs' defense was focused on stooping Steph and that's one of the main reasons (of course KD's skillset matters too) why his volume and efficiency was god-like. Only 30% of Curry's shots were assisted, while 65% of Durant's - that says a lot.

Most beautiful highlights I've ever seen. His game is so pretty. Can't get enough of this. Legendary stuff.

I want to see him operating in the high/midpost more next season. They always got wide open looks or he scored/drew foul in those situations. Mccaw, Draymond and West missed alot bunnies early on Kd got them. Okc failed to use him there consistently but hes far better creating for others from there as opposed to the perimeter where his handle can still be taken advantage of and his court vision isnt as good, dude has some laser passes from the post. He had that great 2 man game with Ibaka in 14 many from the post. Plus with Steph, Draymond and Iggy they dont need other perimeter creators, Kds by far their best post player and they need to use that more next season

Defensively hopefully he continues to improve. Hes only been performing in this defensive role since the Spurs series hes still new to it. Consistency is the biggest issue but his defensive versatility theoretically could be at an alltime level if he continues to improve
