Nash is worse off than Unseld and Iverson? Come on. Cowens was pretty bad too, it's highly rumored KAJ (who came off a magnificent season) was not awarded the MVP, because the panel didn't want to give him three in a row.

Unseld got the beinfit of the doubt, the NBA was more towards awarding blue collared tough players, there's absolutely no evidence to present that he deserved the award that season over countless players (West, Chamberlain, Fraizer, Reed, etc). As for Iverson, it's great at what he did, but in a watered down eastern conference, probably at its weakest point--- Shaq should have swept the board.

Nash definitely isn't that bad, especially after looking at the data from what kind of an impacted player he was from the offensive end, overall statistical evidence suggests, he was actually very worthy of the award. The bad reputation is based more or so off of how the player was perceived in the past, it seems like that, anyways.
