How do you rank these 5?

Would go:
1. Mj
2. Shaq
3. Hakeem
4. Lebron
with lebron and hekeem being very close Durant is not yet near these guys.

good list, but imo Durant now is close to lebron peak.

Hakeem had HCA in each series and was even down 3-2 in a series with it, something that didn't happen with some all time greats with HCA.

I'd like to know a list of NBA greats that could've led the 93-94 playoff Rockets in all major statistical categories like Hakeem did, given no one before or since has performed such a feat. Jordan certainly isn't one of them. You couldn't suffer 3 straight lousy games a la 'MJ BEFORE he reti
red in 93 vs. NY to start a series and expect to get out of the West in Hkm's shoes. In fact ya boy was down 0-2 to start that series, so your "argument" is quite laughable.

Your hero wasn't ever much of a problem for Hakeem and the Rockets, not exactly sure the benefit was in "avoiding" him.

It must suck to have your opinion and know that Hakeem only won the two years Jordan was playing baseball.

It must suck to suffer amnesia (or in your case denial) of Jordan laying in fetal position vs Orlando at the end of game 1 and also Chicago choking away game 6 at home to lose a series to a team peak Hakeem and Houston swept.

Nah I'm not in denial, but I bet that was fun to type. I watched that series and season closely. I'd say, being a Jordan fan growing up, I wasn't disappointed much.

The Hakeem > Jordan theory is basketball's answer to the 9/11 Truthers.

Yes now you resort to shifting goal posts to irrelevant player comparisons when your original laughable statement:

It must suck to have your opinion and know that Hakeem only won the two years Jordan was playing baseball

was brought into question. I'm glad you admit to being a Jordan fan growing up as it shows in the biasness of your claims of Jordan "playing baseball" while the rest of the world watched this:

while Hakeem was leading Houston to a title. It's quite obvious you're a Jordan Jocker ....too offended at the sight of your hero coming up short, better to pretend it never happened and he wasn't there. And you claim to have watched that season closely, lol.

Shaq is not better than any of them on a goat list but his peak is higher than any other player. Just too unstoppable.

1. Michael Jordan
2. Shaquille O'Neal (used to have him tied with Jordan, but his FT shooting and his PnR defense are legitimate question marks...Jordan didn't have exploitable weaknesses like that...regardless, Shaq and Jordan are unquestionably my top 2)
3. LeBron James
4. Hakeem Olajuwon (thinking about this more, his offense doesn't really do it for me...he tended to be a bit of a ball hog, and for all the vaunted skill...he didn't generate a lot of FTs unlike the aforementioned 3. I think being able to get to the line is pretty important for an offensive anchor)

When I say Hakeem's offense doesn't do it for me...I mean compared to Jordan, Shaq, and LeBron, not in general. He's probably my pick for the 3rd best offensive center of all time, behind Shaq and Kareem. And he's one of the 5 greatest defensive players of all time as well. These 4 are my top 4 peaks of all time.

I know where this debate is going and it's not worth while. I'm gonna say MJ wasn't himself those playoffs and you'll say year right and bring up stats and I'll say but I watched the games and you'll return with your thing. Whatever. But for the record I did watch every game and I was disappointed. And also MJ wasn't MJ wasn't MJ wasn't MJ.

Argue the arguments, not their source, please.

And that's a general comment.

Right now, I'd say:

Hakeem
Jordan
LeBron
Shaq

Doesn't seem right to me to have Shaq last on a list like this though.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.
