He must really be in pain to miss a game against a rival like this.

Blatt said "just being cautious"

As much as people wanted to see the matchup if he got hurt it would be terrible

I thought in only became a rivalry once both teams have won a series?

That... sucked some of the hype out of this game.

Time for Dion Waitress to put his big boy pants.

You have to play more than one series as well.

Ak47 is on the sixers now theyll prolly move him. I think the cavs should try to get him would be a great piece for them off the bench and can produce some great lineups specially to help their defense

What happened with AK on the nets anyhow? Dude was a solid backup, especially as a defender, and now he's getting traded/waived.

Well I thought they were gonna make progress on the record/SRS front, were heading towards the top 3ish but are going to be sitting at ~4.3 after tonight. Thoughts on if Lebron's sitting out again tomorrow?
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

He might sit out again as tomorrow against Anthony Davis. If he wasn't ready for Durant tonight, he won't be ready for Anthony Davis the league leader in PER.

I could see him sitting out tomorrow. Sitting out tomorrow would give him an extra 3 days of rest to heal up.

They could beat the Pels without him so resting is a good idea.

LeBron says that the Wizards are Cleveland's rival. We have never won a series with Cleveland while LeBron has been in the league.

      Just saw this on espn

      first 20 games in miami
      24.2 ppg 7.5 apg 46% fg 24.2 PER

first 20 games in cleveland this year
      24.8 ppg 48% fg 7.7 apg 24.6 PER

while his numbers are down a bit this year, they are actually slightly up from the last time he began transitioning to a new situation 4 years ago, and his team had a better record to boot in those 20.

I do worry about the lack of lift this year and this recent knee issue possibly lingering. But above all i think the statistical decline he has seen can be attributed to a new situation

i love witnessing the dumpster fire miami has been btw. No offense to any heat fans reading this.

I've seen a lot of Heat fans turn their backs on Lebron just like Cleveland fans did and it really left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean four finals and 2 rings? Now they're just another team again and it's clear as day that Miami lived and died with Lebron.

I miss the broadcasting duo for Miami, though. They're a lot better than Cleveland's and in fact one of the league's best if you ask me.

I could not agree more about missing the broadcasting duo in miami compared to cleveland

ive noticed a lot of what youre talking about amongst a segment of heat fans and their lack of appreciation for what lebron brought (as well as some good ol revisionist history) but i think on some level any fanbase would have their share who felt that way. Above all i love that from a pure basketball perspective a lot of people might finally realize how ridiculous all of this "superteam" and "stacked deck" nonsense we heard the last 4 years was. Its not a superteam when one guy leads you in scoring, rebounding, assists, and is your best defender at multiple positions (even if spo's '1through 5' nickname was stretching it a bit).

People spent the last 4 years overrating the hell out of a flawed mix based on name recognition. Almost all of the issues facing miami are old problems without the lebron deodorant. Pitiful on the boards beyond belief, soft as hell on the interior defensively, no true center and no real point guard on the roster. Wade being injury prone. None of these issues just sprung up this year. I also think their defense has fallen off a cliff not only because they miss lebron the player, but even moreso they miss the expectations he brought with him which certainly acts as a motivator. No matter how competitive they may be as individuals, everyone on that team knows they arent contending for a title after he left. And as a team who has been accustomed to those expectations, it becomes tougher to demand and to give the possession by possession physical and mental focus it takes on that end of the floor when you know you arent playing for anything anymore

Most Heat fans have moved on. The very tiny vocal minority spews hate and saltiness but that's to be expected. And that's not anything new either. Lakers' fans will still hate on Howard, Cavs fans used to spew a lot more hate on the GB the last 4 years etc. Some of you LeBron only fans and the media also amuse me. The feeling is mutual. Yeah, he left and I still remain a fan of his game but you can't expect people to not get upset at all. Most have moved on, some will continue to hate and display saltiness. As 'fans' that's their right, doesn't bother me. I still enjoy his game (and remain a fan) though I don't root for the Cavs but it's funny to expect that all fans should be thankful. What did you think was gonna happen after he left? Of course, there are going to be some lingering negative feelings.

Saying that you are happy to witness the dumpster fire that's Miami is equally as bad. Whatever.
