I think what I'd say is that TS Add certainly shouldn't be used as the end-all, be-all, and most definitely if two guys are in fundamentally different roles, you have to be very careful.

I'll also add that while in general I think it's excellent at comparing, say, volume scorers, it's not like I'd recommend saying Dantley > Jordan.

But there are times when this can really give you a sense of why a guy may or may not have had the impact you'd expect by scoring volume. Baylor had nothing like the impact of Oscar & West, and I'd say the fact that his TS Add is drastically lower than them points to one of the reasons why.
