Re: Anthony Randolph vs. Michael Beasley
I urge Heat fans to not come and post Beasley's stats on this thread every time he has a good game, because when he has a bad game it will just bite us in the face. In fact, I urge Heat fans to not come to this thread period. We know Beasley is better and it is impossible to convince the Warrior's starving fanbase that their prized prospect is not, in fact, the next coming. Leave it alone. Let their games do the talking. So far, Beasley is louder so we got nothing to worry about.
Over and out.
Over and out.

Re: Anthony Randolph vs. Michael Beasley
Randolph is still getting less than 30 minutes, playing with no bigs on the team. Just incredible, Beasley on the other hand is making the best out of his situation, great job on Beas, showing some great work.

OP should've made this thread with an infinte vote count. It'll be interesting to see the numbers from each side. Maybe something epic like 500,000 Vs 600,000 right now.

We can't let this die!
In about 9 more minutes a game Beasley averages 0.3 less assist, 0.1 more turnovers, 0.1 less steals, 1.1 less blocks and 4.0 more points on 3.2 more FGA.
CLEARLY he's the better player
Edit: Just checked out Randolphs numbers when he plays over 30 minutes
PTS 17.3
RBD 9.3
AST 2.2
TO 1.3
STL 1.8
BLK 2.7
Not that bad

After watching Randolph last night, he's definitely talented, but definitely not very smart.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Well if you want to nitpick numbers, Beasley also has the same amount of turnovers in 9 less minutes and is shooting a better percentage. We can all play that game. Nobody said Randolph was trash like a lot of you Warrior fans are making it seem, but Beasley is just the better player right now. That isn't saying he can't be better in the future, but right now he isn't.

I didn't know that using minutes, points, rebounds, assist, turnovers, steals, blocks and FGA was being a nitpicker. I'll try a little harder next time.
http://www.realgm.com/src_playerranking ... highlight=
Despite playing 297 less minutes and one less game Randolph still ranks higher in total FIC... per 40 he gets 4.9 more.
Randolph has a per of 19.2, Beasley has a per of 16.5
People who defended Beasley said look at the total, people who defended Randolph said look at the minutes... now that doesn't even matter.

Re: Anthony Randolph vs. Michael Beasley
I think the question was who WILL BE the better player.
I'm not surprised to see Beas getting an early edge scoring,or that his coach is not an obstacle to his progress. Randolph, however, has a wider skill set,is longer, can play way above the rim,can have major impact on D. In any sensible situation,Randolph would be playing a solid 30+ minutes. He's been the best big man on a team short on big men...and it hasn't been close. Anywhere else, there'd be a commitment to a top future prospect PLUS the guy with the TALENT would be playing MORE and the journeymen would play less. Obviously, Randolph won't have Don Nelson around much longer.
The thing that's stunning with AR is that he can have 20 pt,or 14 reb or 5 blocks and you can see where he could have TOPPED that were he a bit more experianced and polished. Besides that, there have been games where AR had a quarter where he was dominating. Then...due to coaching malfunction, he gets short minutes the rest of the game. This year, AR has had to play out of position as an ultra-lite center...with no full size PF alongside for support. In Nellie's gimmickball crap, often there's no PLAN to use Randolph's best talents. Instead he may be 20 ft from the rim as a decoy,to clear space so the guards can drive. The kid could average 10 a game just on alley oop dunks. Instead Nellie seems to push for him to fire a 20 ft J.
Were Nellie coaching Randolph the next 10 yr....quite likely that puts Beasley on top. That won't be the case.
