I agree with Goldtop I don't think Westbrook nor Harden are superstars i personally don't think their are many superstars in the league currently.

That's the point. There are rarely more than a handful of superstars in the league at any one time, often only 3-4. Like right now. And Harden ain't close to one, prob never will be. But 99.5% of players won't be either, so not a knock on him.

Super-star-like half so far. And the rest of the team seems to have weaken up after spending the previous game and the first quarter asleep.

Against the 18th defensive ranked Mavericks without Shawn Marion, congratulations.

He has 30 points and 5 assists on 10 shots and 11 free throws. I don't care who you're going against, it's a good half.

I mean, it's one half. But it's a good half.

There is a reason why NBA games are 2 halfs not one
OJ Mayo , Michael Jordan , Allen Iverson.

He was having a great game until the game was on the line. In the 4th quarter:

4 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 3 turnovers, 1-4 fg

He needs to be better finishing games as a first option

Second half not as good (but not bad), and Mayo just went off.

At some point your chances of winning go down significantly when your opponent has 19 more shots than you. I have no idea why Asik only played 20 minutes, especially when Delfino couldn't hit the broad side of the barn in the 4th anyway.

i have to stay off the general board because people are calling Harden only "semi-effective at the PnR"

i dont understand why some people find the need to analyze a player they've seen once or twice. it blows my mind.

I don't know why it took so long for Carlisle to trap every PnR with Harden and shade defenders to him whenever he got the ball. As is often the case, the other Rockets were utterly incapable of punishing it.

And yes, the GB is always hilarious.

Harden playing 46 minutes really isn't what you want. I guess they didn't want to lose control of the game in the first half, but surely he could have rested more than 2 minutes in the second half?

OT, but anybody notice how OJ Mayo's hoopdata shooting selection splits are almost IDENTICAL to the rest of his career's (once extra minutes are factored in). Basically the only difference is going from medicore to God from the 3pt line. It's pretty fascinating how a player can be mind-blowingly hot for a month straight of games, that goes a little beyond pure chance I have to think, the guy just has to be feeling it right now. Mayo is basically possessed by the ghosts of Mike James/Flip Murray/Brandon Jennings shooting the ball, I bet he crashes like a drug junkie very very soon, though if Mike James could keep it up for an entire season despite hilarious shot selection, I guess Mayo can do it the rest of the year

Apparently Harden's ankle was really bothering him the second half. Which is of course the best time to play him 22 minutes in the second half after playing 24 in the first.

Did you read my response to your comment. I said in regards to his playmaking he is effective in the PnR, hence he is semi-effective at playmaking. Otherwise he is very good in the PnR.

Harden is also good at the drive and kick, and a very good skip passer.

I did not read it. I closed the GB tab I had open after i replied because I was dumbfounded.

Your formatting on that post was highly misleading with your choice of words, lol.

I agree, which is why I elaborated on what I meant.

Yeah but many superstars do this as well in the 4th quarter.
