to be fair he only took 2 threes last nite and connected on one.

Blatche is inconsistent. Bargnani would be nice big off the bench for a scoring punch. I'm not big on either of those guys. Is there a none of the above option?

But in a year or two this will, at least IMHO, look pretty silly. You're comparing Bargnani at his all time low.

Given a choice between the two, how many GMs do you think wouldn't go with him?

He has a serious pedigree that you just can't disregard this early in his career.

Blatche has gotten past his immaturity and is moving up,has a far better overall game, especially in big man skills. Bargs has not noticably upgraded his weak rebounding, nor has he improved enough on D.
That makes his size pretty irrelevant. Given the $ factor, I doubt there's 3 GM's in the NBA who'd want Bargnani over Blatche right now.

Upside......upside? Upside matters if a player shows the WILL and the tools to work and improve what needs to improve. Bargs has,I guess, worked on his perimeter J and not much else. He appears to have hit his plateau.
CENSORED... No comment.

Can we really expect an epic thread like this to die?

We should. The majority of people are just writing about Bargnani what they read from other posters. I don't care if you hate the guy, but at least to if for the right reasons.
I do what I feel, not because people ask me to do this,” Bargnani says, holding his hands over his head and doing a strange chicken dance.

If 2012 really is the end of the world, the only thing that would survive past it would be this thread.

Tough call. I don't think we should take contract into account. I think it depends on the other guys on the team around him. It would be interesting to see Bargnani get to play beside a true C like McGee.

Also I havent read thru this thread but I hope people don't still think that Bargnani just shoots 3's.

Is he a jumpshooter? Yes, primarily. But other players have commented that he has the quickest first step they have ever seen from a guy his size, he is learning to use it to get the the basket when his shot isn't falling. See above, he is shooting well and continues to shoot for that reason

Clearly defense is the difference between winning and losing for this team.

Bargnani and McGee in terms of defensive awareness would be atrocious. McGee is a beastly leaper and shot-blocker but his awareness defensively is almost as bad as Bargs'.

Blatche is better. At least Blatche will be in the NBA 5 years from now. Bargnani will probably end up in the Euroleague after his contract is up. That's where he belongs.

The more I watch each player, the more I dislike each player. They're just not my kind of bigs.

+1

Bigs who are a liability on defense and/or the boards are almost never worth it unless they're Barkley good

If I couldn't vent here people would probably be wondering why that normally nice guy started hunting animals with his bare hands in the nude and using their blood as war paint

I don't really know how I still follow the suns but I see that thesis confirmed on a regular basis

Was thread necromancy really necessary to prove the point?

Epic bump.

Blatche has turned into a fat, slow, soft, lazy, whining, out of shape POS.

I despise him like no other.
