I kinda want it to be 119...with 1 NY homer voting Melo

LeBron not unanimous, one first-place vote went to Carmelo Anthony, who finished third behind Durant in the weighted balloting.

Called that. New York sports media is truly the worst.

Yeah that is ridiculous that Melo got a vote and Durant didn't even get one for leading a team to 60 wins and the #1 seed.

Magic made a great point during halftime of the Pacers game. Many stars in the league have their practice time cut by being in so many ads and commercials. Lebron is in very few commercials. He has more free time than any other star. He doesn't do commercials, doesn't do much community service, doesn't practice free throws, etc. Something to consider, and we must wonder what kind of people, places, and substances that Lebron partakes in with his massive free time.

LeBron is too busy being the GOAT of the league and trying to win championships.

Anything else?

Per Wiretap

LeBron James shot 40.6 percent on three point attempts this season, which was easily the best mark of his career.

James figured improving from the outside “could make me even more dynamic where guys couldn’t just lay off of me and dare me to shoot.”

James put himself through difficult workouts in Akron in which he would run wind sprints for missing three-pointers.

“I stayed in the gym twice a day, shooting threes, putting myself in pressure situations where if I don’t make it I’ve got to run each and every time,” James said, “and I became more comfortable.”

James also credited the presence of Ray Allen for improving his perimeter shooting.

“Being around [Allen] every day and competing with him every day — as a competitor you hate losing, even though he’s the greatest three-point shooter of all time in the regular season and playoff history. I hate losing, so to compete with him has helped me out a lot as well,” James said.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

Now that is some training. But say he missed 10 in a row in those, he would be exhausted until later on when he practiced again.

God damn, these turnovers. Not even 3 minutes into the game and Lebron already has 2.

It's OK to shoot a jumper every now and then, LeBron. I hate how selective he has been of late.

Yeah he's way too passive sometimes.

Re that 3 point article: I think the next step is doing the same with free throws. That would open up the game just as much. A similar method would be fine and he's got the perfect teacher in Ray. I think i remember it was Ray that helped him with his free throw shooting this season. He was at 65% or something awful early on. Getting that to 80% should be the next goal.

Yup, the dude is just standing and passing the ball... every 5 minutes he decided to take a shot. You can't be the best player in the world by far and just stand around looking for people to pass to.

With LeBron on the bench, Miami looks far more dynamic on offense... Lucky for them the Bulls are outright horrible.

Dang, things are not looking good for Lebron, layup over 2 guys in the paint is not better than a jumper at this point

Disaster of a first half for Lebron. He's really been off in the playoffs.

Showed some aggression to close out the half. That's good, at least we know he's awake. Needs to come out shooting in the 2nd half.

The dude's game just screams over-thinking to me. He's become a victim of over analyzing things, watching how the defense reacts, trying to get the best possible shot. During that 30ppg 60% streak he played a lot differently. He was cool, calm, collect, even if he took a couple of jumpers over people he was always poised and confident in every shot. Now, he's shaky and it's even evident in his poor passes and handling.

Interesting, Lebron took his armband off. First time I remember seeing him without it since the 2011 season.

And thank god, I hate how they look on players.

Serious question: Has LeBron's handle regressed?

I remember in Cleveland he used to beat people off the dribble, with crossovers, in-and-out dribbles, all-around better handle... Now, he seems to fumble the ball on every drive, a lot of high dribbling, ball slipping from his hands, people slapping it away from his hands. It's pretty ugly to watch.

I'm sure he could still do the moves. Just doesn't have the insane athleticism to have the same results anymore. His style of play has also changed a lot post-2010. Doesn't really go 1-on-1 much from the top of the key anymore, which was 75% of his offensive game in Cleveland. He needed to perform those dribbling moves back then.

Interesting... I always though being quicker and more explosive meant that it's harder to control the ball, since you're flying and changing directions at great speed. Most of the time, LeBron's basically jogging into the paint at a Pierce-like speed, or he's backing his defender down and the ball's just bouncing all over the place. He's also much stronger now than in Cleveland, but yet, it seems that contact seems to bother him more when he's dribbling...
