Triple doubles are just meh now
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I was just about to say... Not even a thread bump? I believe they said that's the 6th time this season that he has a triple double before the start of the 4th quarter. Just sick sick sick. Whether you think he deserves the MVP this year or not (and I don't, simply because of the time missed) this is a unique late momentum surge that is going to carry a lot of weight with the voters. Just a nuts stretch

Do turnovers count for a quadruple?

Total Games with a 30+pt Triple Double (including playoffs) since the 85/86 season

1. Lebron 23
2. Jordan 15
3. Magic 12
4. Bird 10
5. Westbrook 8
6t. Barkley 6
6t. Kidd 6

He has done it 4 times in his last 5 games. Not many have done this 4 times in their entire career.

Another great game from him. Did a good job trusting his teammates down the stretch instead of trying to do it all on his own.

The Thunder are now 18-3 at home this season with Westbrook in the lineup. 9-2 without KD. They haven't learned how to win on the road without KD, just 3-6 without him and with Russ. Specifically they haven't been able to close out close road games without KD with the last 5 losses coming by 3, 3, 4(OT), 6 and 5 points.

Yeah, tonight Russ did a great job. Didn't get assists for them, but in the final two minutes, instead of forcing up a shot, he made nice passes to Kanter and Serge under the basket and the Raptors had no choice but to deliver hard fouls to put them on the line. He was much more trusting of his teammates tonight and the result was winning a close game instead of blowing a close game.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

He'd have many more too if he wasn't playing with KD (30pt games)... not only that, but only MJ on that list has more trip doubles in a row than westy... just impressive.

Yawn.

Seriously love the ability to rotate Kanter/Adams though. He was wild with TOs on his passes early, but ended well enough. Tied the high for assists again, but overall a solid W. I've seen enough Dion for a while though.

Great game from the team tonight. Russ was amazing tonight, except for the TOs.

In other words, averaging over 40/10/10 in the last five games.

Per NBA Gametime crew-provided stats, Westbrook just had the greatest 5-game stretch in NBA history.

Sweet!

Its seriously taking all my strength to not order an autographed jersey from amazon right now, but I don't really want to spend that much right now, so may just wait and save.

Westbrook is 3rd overall in RPM, also 3rd in ORPM and it's matter of time when he would be second, maybe he would even catch Curry before end of the season. And one of them (Curry, RW, Harden) wouldn't make All NBA 1st team. Amazing how good players we have in the NBA right now.

Interesting that only one of those two players is called a chucker even though their pts created is relatively close
I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.
