^^ honestly if he werent sharing minutes with haslem He'd be averaging 20 and 9 with ease.

It'd take him 43.2min a game to get to 9 boards, he's just not a great boarder.

^^ lol I doubt it, if it takes him 30 mins to get 7, I doubt it takes 13 more minutes to grab TWO more rebounds.

part of it is time spent at SF I think hes vastly less effective there

usually ends up standing around at SF

he does play SF in stretches to accommodate Haslem.
And Heat put him away from the basket close to the 3pt line to create spacing for Wade/JO or Wade/Haslem to run pick and roll.

Some posted his rebound rate being better than Jamisons..and Jamison averages close to 9 boards a game. With Haslem out of the picture he could average that...

2009 Beasley - 22ppg 9.8rbs (w/o Haslem in 7 games)
2010 Beasley - 21ppg 10.5rbs (w/o Haslem in 2 games)

Small sample size, i know..but cant say those numbers are anything surprising...it just makes sense, he doesnt have to play SF or too far away from the basket..and he gets true starter minutes in those games.

It's math. It takes him 32 minutes to get 6.7 rebounds, or 2.23333 rebounds for every 10.666666 minutes. Not that difficult.

That being said, I'd agree with the other poster that his minutes spent at small forward hurt his rebounding numbers. It would be best for him in the long run to see if he can learn to play that position better and improve his versatility, but there is no doubt it hurts his productivity at the moment.

^^ was just about to edit my post to say that, people assume he plays all his mins at PF, but he plays about 12 of SF, just so Haslem can get his minutes.

Exactly why I said if he didn't share minutes with Haslem, and play the Full 30 minutes of PF, he'd avg 20 and 9 with ease.

Randolph at one time was winning by like 20 percent in the poll or 25 percent or something like that, now he is 2 percent with in closing distance.

Now the question, when will Beasley take over the lead.

Also it will be interesting to do a brand new poll.

See how it looks.

Thats standard fan adjustment. Out of sight, out of mind. Beasley has been more consistent this season by far, I still take AR4 for the long term though.

See if you can get a refund on your education. You fail basic everyday math.

You can't just use math to calculate on how someone gets rebounds, just how that Per 36 is bull as well because beasley should have been avg 20 and 9 from last years calculations, basketball games change at any minute, blocks that can turn into rebounds at ANY point in the game, being at the right place at the right time for an offensive board. Trust me, I aced math all my life, i know how to do a simple equation

^ You said, you doubt it takes him 30 mins to get X rebounds, so if you use simple math and average the minutes vs the rebs he brings down per min and then multiply that by the amounts in question, you can get an average or at least answer your question.

Randolph couldn't even carry LSU to the NCAA tournament even though they played in a joke conference like the SEC. Beasley took bums to the NCAA tournament. Besides homer fan hype I don't really know where the hope for Randolph to be a star came from. It is just like the Javal McGee hype from last year.

Actually i said i doubt it would take him 43 minutes to grab 9 rebounds, but if you feel that if you calculate per min etc go ahead.

per 48 minutes Beasley grabs 0.5 more rebounds at PF vs SF

So, if you want to count his minutes at PF only, it takes him 43 minutes to grab 9.13 rebounds

I will say that Miami's defensive schemes aren't beneficial for individual rebounding stats.

Does that mean you don't allow a lot of misses or that you allow a ton of offensive rebounds?
