Russ trade makes even less sense if THT is for real.

Even when AD does a good job against Giannis, the refs don't give him any benefit of the doubt. That was a clear offensive foul by Giannis

Maybe they're starting to figure out the AD doubles with the guard flashing middle. Has happened a few times for good shots

Refs have not been kind to the Lakers this quarter

Isn't that the kind of thing the refs were trying to stop this season?

Refs were DISGUSTING

THT has been great these 3 games. He’s legit better than Russ

We **** up so hard

I wish AD was as aggressive as Giannis

I hope some Russ deal pops up

Why is THT on the opponent's biggest player?

The DAJ or Howard lineups sans AD are just awful. It would be nice to have a spacer in there instead of these two dinosaur deadweights. I think if LeBron is with them then he can minimize the damage but it’s sad to see when the Lakers had gained momentum in the third quarter that the DAJ lineup killed them at the beginning of the fourth.

The third quarter might be the best of the season and THT looks really, really good.

Everyone’s better than Russ though he hasn’t been horrific lately. But THT looks like a real contributor.

For a 3rd year player THT is really good at half court scoring.

Let's also put to rest the notion AD can guard Giannis for anything more than a couple select possessions. In the last game before the covid lockdown he was also going for a similar nuclear performance before someone else took up the assignment.

That Bazemore, Ellington, Deandre lineup was trash. What was Vogel thinking playing them for so long in then 4th? At least stick Melo in there so there is some scoring. On the night that trio combined for 1/14 FGM :banghead:

Fingers crossed that was the last game we see without LeBron.

Starting lineup should be Russ, Ellington, THT, LeBron, AD. Weak on the defensive wings if THT can't guard the big wings, but that should be a good group nonetheless. And hopefully LeBron can help shore up the defensive rebounding of these small lineups.

Should THT really start with Bron and Russ?

Not sure if our other options are great as Bazemore has really been awful as of late

We need to get another 2/3 or 3/4

I wonder if Ellington is a playoff starter

When healthy

Russ, Ellington, Lebron, Ariza, AD
Nunn, Monk/Reaves, THT, Melo, Dwight

Bazemore

I wonder if Monk/Ellington, Bazemore, and 2nds can fetch another guy

Ellington has been mostly trash. Don’t think he should start.

I don't envy whomever has to make that choice. the backcourt situation is a nightmare because Westbrook doesn't space the floor or play defense. You have to find a player who does those things from minimum contract guys. That leaves Bradley and Reaves who are somewhat undersized for the SG position. THT might be another option. There's no ideal fit because the guy getting paid 50m opens more holes than he closes. Let me also just say he was decent tonight and wasn't why they lost but the issues he brings will always be there. Isn't even bringing the kind of pointguard play he was signed for. 20 year old THT just came back and already looks better running the offense.
