Lol? before this year Zach was just a stat padder on horrible team.

Beasley actually has the potential to be a tier over Zach.

Yeah and Gerald Green has the potential to be better than Michael Jordan. If a player is dumb then their talent is nullified. Also, Beasley doesn't have Zach's rebounding or inside scoring. He doesn't have his determination, either. And it doesn't matter what Zach's game used to be like, it only matters what it's like now.

LOL that was really stupid, really bad example. Your comparing a 2nd year player to an 8 year vet congratz, lets wait till beasley gets to his 3rd year before we can start comparing lol, because in zach 2nd year he avg 8 and 4.. so yea...

Wade2k6 wrote:Beasley has improved greatly from last season to this season on his finishing ability and not getting his shots blocked around the basket and/or inside. He actually gets his shot blocked inside 2% less then Randolph does this season. In fact, 82 games says that the Warriors are better without Randolph on the court (-2.6) then they are with him on the court (-4.7). And the Warriors best 5 unit doesn't include Randolph on it. On the other hand, the Heat are better with Beasley on the court (+0.8) then they are without him on the court (+0.3). And Beasley is apart of the Heats best 5 man unit. If Beasley was hitting his jumpshot at the same clip he was last season Beasley would be blowing Randolph away in this comparison (46.1 % last season to 39.6% this season).

1. The Warriors best 5 man unit does include Randolph (it's +39)

2. Randolph does get a lot of his shots blocked this season vs last, but that's only because he is playing center. Randolph has gone from 9% to 15%, not because he's worse but because he has had to play against Shaq, Oden, Duncan etc. etc.

3. He does have a sub par +/-, but once again, look at the team when he was getting minutes. Playing with Mikki Moore (who has a +/- of -15) and Vlad Rad will do that to you. Of course the team is going to be better when we have Turiaf and Biedrins at center vs Mikki Moore and Anthony Randolph at center. Randolph hasn't gotten consistent minutes, thus, +/- is useless.

If you want to look at the numbers and ignore the situation, it's bad. But if you look at the entire picture it's not bad at all.

adj +/- isnt a great stat for very young players like Beasley and Randolph

nearly all young guys have terrible adj +/- hell durants was terrible when he was putting up 25ppg on great efficiency

its something that comes around over time (or doesnt if you suck)

Yeah you're right, I figured it would be in order of most productive but I just realized it's organized by minutes, my bad.

Does that mean you don't allow a lot of misses or that you allow a ton of offensive rebounds?

Partly the second, but i meant that because of the system you often have your PF or even C rotating to close out on an open 3 point shooter, which makes defensive rebounding a more team oriented effort, rather then 1 or 2 guys racking them up.

Beasley was 1% from being 2nd (Randy Foye was #1) in the NBA in getting his own shots blocked in the paint last season... the numbers aren't out or this season yet.
Thats changed considerably this year, Beasley's converting 66% of his shots inside, which is very high. Randolph is at 58% for comparison.

After seeing this it gives me more incite to take beasley over AR.

He's doing better than an injured Randolph, I'm very impressed.

Michael Beasley is automatic in one on one situations he is so underrated on these forums. He doesn't demand the ball enough as well.
