Golden State is now staring down the potential GOAT who just hung 41-12-9 in the last 2 games on them.

Buttholes are very tight right now.

And Bron is the player of the year and definitely is the best player in the world. No doubt.

Win or lose game 7, LeBron is still clearly the best player in the world.

Okay, What in the world happened in the first Quarter? I was driving home and thought - okay, no way the game is decided in the first quarter. I'm fine. And that's exactly what ends up happening? :banghead:

I could really use a replay of the first Q.

Draymond needed some help from Bogut at times tonight. Really don't know what to expect out of Game 7, with LeBron performing like this. His jumpers are going in at a pretty good rate... and when that happens he's the best player in the world.

GSW best offensive situations were 2 open Barnes 3 point attempts and another 3 pt attempt by someone not Curry/Thompson. You could count the number of defensive mistakes Cleveland made in the first quarter on one hand

Cleveland Cavaliers Postseason(20 G)

+13.97 SRS, +13.1 Offense, -2.2 Defense

Cleveland Cavaliers Finals(6 G)

+10.38 SRS, +6.4 Offense, -4.3 Defense

I hate that coaches feel the need to send messages to the refs in the next game like this. It's the first game all year Curry even got to 5 fouls much less 6. I think he's gotten superstar protection just fine Steve.

Maybe remind him not to reach in 80 feet from his own basket instead?

I already posted this on the general board, but it's pretty amazing that the Cavs and Warriors are tied for points scored in this series at 610 each. I know there's been a lot of garbage time but it definitely suggests that they're pretty evenly matched at this point.

I am leaning towards LeBron for #1 at this point. Win or lose game 7 he has been the best player in this series. His defense has been DPOY level the last few games. Curry has struggled mightily except for his 3 point shooting.

Well I don't think there's any question who the player of the year is anymore.

Win or lose this series GSW has been exposed in my eyes as an entitled team. I like trash talk and what not between teams but this is a team which has gotten their families involved in taking shots at the Cavs which is a first from what I can remember.

As you said Curry is the one picking up dumb fouls. He's done that a few times in the playoffs this year. That's not on the league, that's on him.

Would be a travesty if he doesn't win Finals MVP regardless of result.

Not really. West only got it because he averaged virtually 38 ppg in the finals and lost by only 2. If Cavs get blown out Lebron has no shot. Not to mention the first two games they lost in the series he wasn't that good.

And he's still been miles better than any player on GSW......

If LeBron doesn't get this FMVP it will be a travesty.

Ppl need to understand the context of the Jerry West thing. Fmvp voting was done for the first time in history and was already done before the game ended. At the point in the game where the Lakers were leading and looked like they were gonna win the series. Then the Celtics came back and barely won and the votes were already in for Jerry.

Voting has been done differently every other year in Nba history for determining Fmvp. If Lebron doesnt win Fmvp they should just rename the damn award to Finals Most Valuable Player on Winning Team.

LeBron may not have been that great in the first two games, but he still put up 21/10/9 and was the best player, on both teams, during those two games.

Yes I understand that, but he won because game 7 was close as well. if Game 7 isn't close and is a blowout like every game has been and Warriors win there is no way he is going to get it.

We will see. It should be noted that Lebron still got 4/11 Fmvp votes last finals. Iggy played out of his mind on both ends and i thought he deserved it as far as being the best Warrior in the finals. Lebrons defense also wasnt as consistently great as it has been this series (still wasnt good in 2 games).

The difference this finals is there is absolutely no Warrior that has stood out like Iggy, theres absolutely no narrative for them this time. Couple that with Draymonds behavior getting himself suspended and now Stephs little outburst? Its very arguable that the 2nd best player thats stood out most in this series hasnt even been a Warrior.
