Im from Kentucky so obvious John Wall fan, also love Derrick rose I know its premature wall hasn't played a game in the nba while rose is becoming a star but who do think will be better

For now Rose because Wall still hasn't proven anything in the NBA.

Come on people really curious to hear your thoughts

6'4 with a 6'9 wingspan, faster than D-Rose too. Kid is built to dominate. He has the right mindset too.

Wall really impressed me in college, I also think his game is more suited for the nba ala Rondo

lol at rondo. rondo has no ability. that gotta be the worst case scenario for a talent like wall.

From what I've seen of him I'm not impressed. It seems like he's just a really fast big PG, that's it. His ball handling leaves much to be desired. He only moves at one pace. He's going to be a turnover machine in the NBA. Not to mention that his jump shot is a weak point. He's going to be easy to defend against unless he works on his handles and jump shot.

His jump-shot is still further along as a freshmen then Roses was. And anyone who thinks he's going to be "easy" to defend is delusional.

i'd like to see Wall play an NBA game before i rate him above Rose.

When I say easy I mean predictable. He doesn't seem to have advanced ball handling skills. He relies a lot on his speed to get to the basket but in the NBA that won't cut it. He needs to work on changing gears to make him less predictable. Right now all I see him do is drive really fast all the time.

I wasn't comparing the two i was saying Rondo wasn't that great as a college player with all the zones focusing on one player wall may not out quick everybody in the nba but they cant zone up and focus on him alone imo Wall will be much better than Rondo i know he played at uk but he plays for Boston so i dont follow him much

Given that we are days from the opening of trainnig camps, how about we just table this thread for about two months until we have some actual evidence?

He also had alot more talent than Rose had and he still could not lead his team to the final four .

The talent surrounding Wall was freshmen/underclassmen whereas Rose had upperclassmen.

Rose played with a decent bench player . And a borderline 12th Man . That Kentucky team was alot more loaded than that Memphis team . Patrick Patterson was a junior also . That team really underachieved
