Can we shut the book on the Williams/Paul debate?

Not a flame war thread. Legitimate question. Deron Williams ran circles around CP3 tonight, pretty much having his way with him for 26 points, 11 assists, 5 steals, and another blowout victory.
So who is better? Do I just wear thick homer goggles?
Thanks.

26/11 and 5 turnovers isn't really running circles around 17/9 and 1 turnover
Yes you do wear thick homer goggles.
It was 1 game and the home team usually wins.
Also lets not forget both Jefferson and Millsap being better than any Hornet other than Paul.

Deron always outplays him head to head just like Yao does Dwight.

Finally. We can all agree that CP3 is the best PG in the NBA considerably. I'm glad a Utah Jazz fan started this thread so the OP won't be called a homer.

I'd take CP3 fairly comfortably.

Yes, CP3 is better. Shut the book already.

One game samples are awesome... if you have a logic of a homer.

Cp3 is better at just about everything than Deron. And I love Deron.

OP... what were you thinking?
I can't understand why everybody has suddenly turned on their opinion of Williams, but I personally don't give a crap, just want the Jazz to win.

Deron Williams is a much better player in my opinion. I think some people just automatically assume Paul is better because his name is thrown around more frequently. If they had watched tonights game, or any of the head to head matchups in the past, they would agree. I'm not saying Paul isn't a phenomenal point guard, he's seated directly behind Williams at second easily, but Deron is just simply a better player who makes his teammates better. Granted if Williams could limit his turnovers he would undeniably be better than Paul IMO, that's something Deron really needs to improve on.

For me, a healthy Yao is better than Dwight, and not just head to head.

But Deron always outplays him in H2H's. What's new?

There was never an argument. Deron was only comparable when Paul gets hurt

He clearly was taking a jab at the head to head not holding weight in who's really better. How can you even make an argument for Yao being a better player? Howard has already played more games despite starting later, his averages are better, and in his last few years he's been indisputably better than Yao ever was, except maybe Yao's 06-07 season, but he missed 36 games.

CP3 is the better player. The only thing Deron has on him is his crossover and his size advantage.
