If you where the Pacers or the Clippers general manger, who would you rather have drafted?

In retrospect Aminu slightly, at the time George easily.

The thing about Aminu is he is very young and extremely long. I think he will be a lock-down defender someday. I wasn't sure he could ever contribute offensively, but he has shown flashes of decent offense. I had no dreams of him ever developing a jump shot, but it looks surprisingly good.

George looks good after a slow start but I don't think he has the same ceiling.

Paul George can hit threes too.

He's very athletic, and he's also long. He's very tall on the court, but I think he's too skinny. Plenty of people on the Pacers board see him as a future project, but I do think Aminu is a better defender, but George isn't terrible. Aminu was hitting threes early this season too.

I also heard that he was a bit one sided and was more of a power forward and might not adapt to the small forward position, he was a stellar at rebounding if I believe.

i haven't seen much of george play (maybe 3 games this season?) and plus he's a rookie that hasn't gotten much burn, so it's difficult to give a complete evaluation of him. if you compare their offensive and advanced stats, george has a marginal but clear edge in most categories. george was considered the better nba prospect as well so it seems like he'd be the logical choice for either team unless their games are fundamentally different.

i've seen aminu play plenty and i think he'll end up being a good rotation player but a marginal starter at best. if he worked really hard and landed in the right situation (ie. not a contender), i could see him put up borderline all-star stats in his prime but i think that's his absolute ceiling. he's got very good baseline athleticism, a nice shooting stroke, and plays hard-nosed ball but he will always be a limited offensive player in that he won't be very productive/efficient getting 15+ touches a night. as a rookie, his defense is putrid by nba standards but he's got the size and the agility to become a strong defender in the immediate future. he started off hot from downtown in the beginning of this season and cooled off considerably since february; the proverbial rookie wall hit him pretty hard. most important thing is that from everything i've seen and heard about him, he will continue to improve. in terms of production, he's similar to a jeff green type of player.

Jeff Green is a good comparison.

Aminu could be the next Derrick Mckey. Phil Jackson called Mckey a poor man's Scottie Pippen, in regards to his superior defensive capabilities (made possible by having the arms of a 7 footer).

George could be the next Grant Hill. He has a lot of tools in his toolbox, as Special K likes to say. Grant was versatile and capable of playing 4 positions in his prime. George also has deceiving handles, vision, strength and accelerates like a rabbit.

I'd take either one any day of the week, but for the Pacers Paul George was a gift. He is surprisingly good at rebounding the ball at its peak, just because he can usually get higher faster.

I am sure waiting on a phenomenal defender to develop isn't as much fun, but the end result will be worth the wait.

It's too early to say for either, though I gather from pacerfans that George is the next T-mac...

the kid has a nice stroke, and a better overall skillset than aminu.

This is Paul George, easily. Already has one of the best mid-range shots in the league.

I'll take the ACC (Best conference in the nation) talent 10 times out of 10, Aminu.

First George gets compared to T-Mac, then called the next Grant Hill! I don't know what it is with Pacer fans, maybe they're just easy to sell, but the seem to constantly be on the wrong end of crow eating with regards to player prediction. Magic Bender, Dwight Harrison, Wilt Hibbert, all-star Al, all-star Hansborough, Reggie Rush, Scott "better than Brad Miller" Pollard. Everywhere I go, it's the same. I won't even repeat some of the things said about their PG... you'd think with so many terrible predictions a fanbase would become more circumspect...

Tyler Hansbrough will be a great player/all-star in the NBA one day. Last year he had the ear infection and this year Jim O'Brien was letting him rot on the bench. Thank God Vogel is the interim coach for now. He is letting everyone know why Hansbrough is the NCAA GOAT!

Very touching. It brings me back to the days Pacer fans would call Tinsley one of the best PG's in the NBA.

about the same level but two different players, who you take very depend on yours needs, Al Farouq Aminu is like a young Gerald Wallace while Paul George a young Stephan Jackson...
