Same skills/ability in Swift's body and he also gets his athleticism, how good would Bowen be?

He still has no dribble penetration ability so it's essentially a lockdown defender, corner shooter with superior athleticism that doesn't necessarily help him since he's already an epic defender. The only way Swift's athleticism really helps is if he also gets slashing ability.

I'm not so sure that Bowen's skill set would be all that valuable to a big man. You'd be taking a guy that is known solely for his perimeter man-to-man defense and putting him on the interior.

I don't think Stro would have the same lateral quickness to defend and be as effective.

Why are we putting Bruce Bowen in Stromile Swift's body? Out of all players, it's Bruce Bowen?

Bill Russell Lite?
What you get is a hyper-athletic very smart man defender and competent help defender who's going to provide smothering post defence and the ability to disrupt the opposition operating inside the three-point line. I'm of the school that with Bowen's brain he'd take best advantage of the body he had available and for all his faults, Swift was a pretty damn impressive physical specimen. As previously noted, Bruce Swift doesn't have fantastic lateral movement, but with a 7'2" wingspan, that makes up for a lot of that, especially if you've got a positionally smart defender with good anticipation and ability to read the play. Offensively, the extra height helps some, but without at least some post ability he's still a passenger in most offensive sets.
An All-D first teamer some years, perhaps a bit less given the overlap with KG. Outside chance for a DPOY somewhere down the line.

I'd say a more athletic Rashard Lewis with the defense of Scottie Pippen. He'd be a great player to have on a championship team.

I want to see Muggsy Bogues in Shaq's body keeping all Muggsy's athleticism, skills, and quickness -- make Magic look like a poor man's Steve Blake

As if the real Bruce wasn't
But yeah, weird question. Bruce always had a hand in his guys face, and often was within a hair of getting a hand on the ball during a jumpshot. I guess with the added wingspan he'd get more blocks for stat-padding sake. Offense would still be pedestrian. I guess he'd add nice dunks to his corner 3's?

Nowhere near as talented offensively as Rashard Lewis. Bowen was one of the worst offensively players I've even seen. Couldn't dribble, shoot, pass, make a free throw... basically just had the ability to make that corner 3 at a solid clip when he got left alone.
