Who is the better point guard, and are either guard likely to be future all-star?
Could Session help the Knicks to .500 like Lin could?
Which point guard would your rather have?

Sessions in Dantoni's system puts up similar numbers as Lin IMO.

Better numbers, IMO.

From my extremely limited perspective as a Lakers fan (only seen both about for full games about 3 times each) I'd say Sessions. He has an athleticism advantage, can set people up and can hit shots going to the rack. Lin can hit shots off balance going to the hoop and create shots for teammates. Both tend to turn the ball over a tad too much. So it basically comes down to athleticism (i.e. speed) and Sessions has him beat comfortably there. I'd take Ramon, again it's up for grabs at this point tho.

In Sessions four games as a Laker he's averaging 6 Assists and 1.2 TOs so no, you're wrong.
Haven't seen enough of Sessions to compare but the numbers and impact thus far appear to be similar.

Sessions even the best point guard on the Lakers? He wasn't when he was with the Cavs and Irving is a rookie. Sessions also took a back seat to Mo Williams.
Also, Knicks beat the Cavs with both Irving and Sessions head to head.
I don't understand why Sessions never became a starter. Everyone talks about how good he was ever since he was drafted and He has plenty of experience now.
This is a silly comparison.

Ramon Sessions now, but Jeremy Lin for the future. Aside from the obvious - he's two years younger and essentially a rookie - Lin is much more enjoyable to watch.

Session's 5th year and 4th team. So, lets see how it plays out. He looks pretty good on the Lakers so far.
Still a silly comparison.

Wow, it's remarkable how quickly players blow up once they go to one of the big markets.

Sessions is a playmaking PG... Obviously he is going to look better when he plays with better talent... No he is not better than Irving and maybe not even Mo Williams but he is the best thing the Lakers have had at the position in a long time and his job will be made easier playing with the Lakers talent
I'm more interested to see if Sessions can keep his 3% up than anything else

Sure Sessions has been around, but fact is the Cavs were very happy with his play both this year and last. He was traded because Kyrie was the best person in the draft last year and as a rebuilding team the Cavs want draft picks. It really had nothing to do with his play.

Well this is Lins 2nd year and 3rd team(techinically 5th if you count his stint in china and the Rockets days) so lets not jump to conclusions.

What are they expecting to get out of a late first round pick that will pan out better than Sessions?
You've got one of the best backup PGs that can run SG alongside Irving for stretches. From what I recall Sessions didn't want to talk about any possible trade and he said he'd like to stay on the Cavs.
Really, in the off-season they need to look into FA to start getting talent and vet experience. Wizards made a good move by putting Nene with Wall imo, this Cavs move is lateral movement at best.

Sessions isnt a SG whatsoever.. On offense he is a playmaking PG and he's way too small to defend SGs on defense. What good would it do to have one of the best backup PGs in the league that you only play 10-12 mpg at his proper position?
It't great to have a good backup when your starter is merely average or below average OR if he is injury prone... Irving is way above average. It has yet to be seen if he is injury prone but hopefully he is not

Lin > Sessions
Lin > Rubio
Lin > Irving
Lin > Wall
Lin is the 3rd or 4th best PG in the league right now. Sessions isnt even close

Lin is superior to Sessions simply because the experience factor. They aren't comparable and Lin is posting better stats at the moment and making clutch plays. Lin probably has a way higher BBIQ too. I'd say Lin's upside is far greater than what Sessions has achieved in his 4 years so far.
I like Lin over Rubio simply because Rubio has suffered from a significant injury. I know athletes can heal fine from torn ACL but.. to me that's a big warning flag. Rubio could be very injury prone in the future. Plus Rubio's shot is hilariously poor despite his pretty assists.
Irving is good and athletic. Lots of upside. Lin or Irving is a bit of a push at this point.
Lin did very well against Wall when he played the wizards and again during summer league. Wall is pretty athletic though. He has good upside as well.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it. Lin fans are delusional. Have fun with that.

Do you have any arguments otherwise or are you just here to throw this out there as bait?
