In the past few weeks, Clyde has done a lot to surpass Isiah in the all-time biggest NBA **** list.

Zeke. They're about equal in terms of ability, but Isiah had that rare nasty-competitive-swagger shared by guys like Jordan and Kobe (aka the "it" factor that LeBron has been criticized for missing until recently).

Drexler although Isiah does have more of the nasty streak that distinguishes the greats from the very goods . . . but Clyde has more of the skills of a very good player.

Isiah for me, pretty easily.

He was one of the most competitive players of all time. Drexler doesn't really separate himself in terms of skills, and then Thomas wins this comparison with the fact that he led a franchise to back-to-back titles as "the man" in an era of Magic, Bird and Jordan etc. Man, he had so many memorable moments in the playoffs... :o
PC Board All Time Fantasy Draft:

PG Mark Price (92-94)
SG Manu Ginobili (05-07)
SF Larry Bird (84-86)
PF Horace Grant (93-95)
C Dwight Howard (09-11)
+
Bernard King (82-84) Vlade Divac (95-97) Derek Harper (88-90) Dan Majerle (91-93) Josh Smith (10-12)

Isiah did what Drexler did not as the leader of a team and that is win multiple titles. And Both Portland and Detroit were stacked and deep.

I'll take Drexler by a considerable margin. He is night and day better as a defender which should alone be enough, but he was a better scorer and likely on par as a passer/play maker for others. Thomas remains one of the more overrated players due to being given more credit than is due for his piston titles.

Drexler clearly, the only edge Thomas has over him is playmaking and ball-handling but the gap isn't huge (Clyde is one of the best passing wings ever). Meanwhile, Drexler is clearly better defender, better scorer, more versatile player and the gap isn't small at all in these aspects.

Good question, if Thomas was 6' 7" like Drexler it would be him but he is not so I will go with Drexler.

I've always felt people were overly critical of drexler's playoff success prior to going to Houston. Just see him as the more complete and consistent player vs isiah along with better longevity. He was very good during the rockets championship run as well.

Again, I want to say that Isiah was a pretty good defender, not the sieve you are implying. Drexler was also pretty good but it's not a "night and day" type gap.

Everything I've seen shows Thomas as a well below average defender.
