How is chris bosh a hall of famer?

He is living proof on why stats and accolades are overrated...Based off the eye test..that man should never be in anybodys hall of fame. I saw a thread earlier this year asking this question..and people were saying yes based off his gold meld and ring but (The language filter is there for a reason)if you watch that man play he is not a hall of famer..scrubs can do his job..if you are a hall of famer you shouldnt be able to say somebody else can do what you did..you should stand out

Way too passive to be a Hall of Famer. A hall of famer should be able to impact the game and impose his will on a game more than Bosh has done.

You seem to be forgetting the 3 playoff wins he accumulated in his 7 years with Toronto.

Well he was certainly on a hall of fame path in Toronto.
Taking legit first options such as Bosh and Wade, and then making them play 2nd and 3rd fiddle to Lebron, essentially turning them into role players is not good for careers, specifically if the rings aren't piling up.
He needs to be featured offensively and not be a 20 million dollar stretch 4. Of the three of them, the team up is most likely to cost him his hall of fame bid. He really needs to walk when he can to a place which will feature him more. We would love to have him in Houston.

I don't even know what to make of Bosh. This is the same player who averaged 24/11 in Toronto
How is he only putting up 12/6 in the playoffs?

I would consider Antawn Jamison to be one of those guys too.

Yep. Jamison has career averages of 19/8, Bosh is at 20/9. Just don't see him as a HOFer.

LOL Chris Bosh in the hall of fame would completely water down the significance of that accolade. Chris Bosh is a hall of famer like Carlos Boozer is a hall of famer. We would need of new hall of fame to distinguish the true all-timers.

I've got him a tier below Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady. These two had some wonderful seasons and put up great points and gave us spectacular moments. But they fizzled out and ended up being all numbers and flash but couldn't propel their teams anywhere noteworthy. They ended up being ticket attractions.
Bosh hasn't really given us any truly spectacular moments in his career. He's just put up solid numbers. Never led his team anywhere when he was 'the guy', and only a couple years into his prime is the third guy (sometimes fourth) on an albeit championship team, but constantly being doubted b/c he makes boneheaded plays or doesn't become alpha dog when things are down.
To me, he's not a HoF.
And if you go to 82games.com, you'll see on their section for 5-man units that when Miami substituted Haslem for Bosh, they didn't skip a beat. The numbers across the board are almost identical. Only thing that's different is the minutes for each lineup...299 vs. 80.

Chris Bosh is leagues above Jamison. I don't understand how the same people that are dissing stats because they were high in Toronto are using the same metrics to criticize his game in the present. If you watch the games you'd see that he impacts the game more than just scoring points. Miami would not be here without him. He's had to change his game from being a first option to a THIRD (although in reality he's not even an OPTION, he just completely plays off of Wade and LeBron and broken plays) and still been successful.

He impacts the game with his defence and rebounding.

I was looking through basketball-reference and it seems like all of Miami's best 5-man rotations included Bosh. These are regular season stats though.

Lookin at the team performance of Miami with Bosh on/off the court though is another thing. In the regular season almost every statistical category has a net positive with Bosh on the court with the exception (strangely) of team block % going UP when Bosh is off the court.
The criticism Bosh is hearing now though about his performance in the post-season I think is totally fair. Basketball reference shows that the Heat perform better with Bosh OFF the court.
