Who would you say has been the best poster on this forum? This year is slowly ending so I think it's time to distinguish the best from the rest. :)

Might be a silly question but does this include mods or not.

Dunno...who has been the most "clutch" poster? Who has the inner will to create good posts and drive the PC board forward? What is the TS%, RAPM, and Win Shares of these posters?

Doctor MJ is the per-post best we have. He just doesn't come into conversations as much as we'd like, understandably so given his responsibilities.

We didn't have a project this year so it's hard to isolate someone with major contributions.

Texas Chuck, though I may not agree with a few of his views, is probably the most sensible and articulate poster we have who can make a point without relying on walls of rapm stats, plus he doesn't let his biases play in.

Fplii, ShaqAttack and SSB are all in the discussion. Can't choose between these four.

Why not? These guys are mods for a reason, and the reason is simply them being outstanding and level-headed posters. Doc MJ and Texas Chuck are definitely among the very best.

Agree wholeheartedly with all these nominations. I think that you Ardee also deserve a mention. I'd add DavidStern and colts18 to the list. Doctor MJ would most likely be my #1 though.

If you want some kind of concrete result I'd suggest adding a poll.

I didn't add the poll at first because I feel like there are too many guys who deserve a mention and I didn't want to omit anyone, but I finally went with IMO the best of them.

*ThaRegul8r is IMO a special case of a guy who rarely gets into discussions on either side of the argument, but does a great job pointing out flaws in others' arguments and logic. How fitting is his username... :D He's really an undercover moderator.

Bastillon and ShaqAttack are some of the guys who are also very, very knowledgeable and contribute significantly to this board, but I could only add 10 options in the poll, so sorry guys.

I voted Doctor MJ, although SideShowBob was a very close considerations as well.

I noticed that tsherkin has the most votes so far, the main reason I didn't vote for him is I feel he doesn't use a lot of context with the stats he bases his comparisons on.

But yeah, both that I mentioned have their strengths but they are both thoughtful and articulate with their comparisons, bob being a little number-heavy and doc having a healthy mix of numbers and x's and o's, which is ultimately why I chose him.

maybe I don't spend enough time on the PC board or simply don't pay attention but I couldn't accurately tell you about the other nominated members so i'm sorry they didn't really get a fair shake at my vote...

I would always vote for Tsherkin because he has no bias in this.

I vote for Tsherkin. One of the only posters who is generally unbiased and has no hidden agendas, especially when it comes Kobe/Lebron discussion which I appreciate because its so rare.

Im relatively new here so I don't have a mental scouting report on all of the candidates...... My vote went to SideShowBob though for all of his statistical work on the Lebron thread and other various player threads.

I voted for Doctor MJ, a very respectful and knowledgeable poster; also helps that he seems to be as big a fan of Anthony Davis as I am lol. Sideshow Bob was a close second for me with his statistical work in all the player threads, as Jules pointed out.

That's because they don't post in those hypothetical scenario type threads like 'Team A vs Team B' or "Player A, Player B, Player C vs Player D, Player E, Player F' etc. and those threads make up for the majority of of all threads on this board.

Nugzheat is like the Tiger Woods of this board. He dominates every time he posts, but he picks his spots so he rarely posts. He should be posting more because his posts are always insightful.
