LeBron just finished his 14th regular season. Let's compare other great 14th seasons in the league:
Rank the following*:
LeBron 17
Kareem 83
K. Malone 99
Duncan 11
Garnett 09
Miller 01
Kobe 10
Dirk 12
Shaq 06
Jordan 02
*plus any other 14th year seasons you think deserve mention.

Kobe, KAJ, and maybe Malone are the best on the list. I think 2017 LBJ might be better than all three.

Is LeBron not playing the last RS game?

I doubt it. He's resting today, so I'm guessing his regular season is done. Even so, one more game doesn't change much in this comparison.

BTW, I think this is easily LeBron. He had a year pretty close to his peak self in terms of production and impact.

Dang, really puts it in perspective. Plenty of those guys aren't even on the same planet by that point in their careers.
Not a ton of thought put into this, but rough order:
1. '17 Lebron
2. '09 KG - pre-injury, with the injury he obviously drops considerably
3. '10 Kobe
4. '12 Dirk
5. '99 Malone
6. '83 KAJ
7. '11 Duncan
8. '06 Shaq
9. '01 Miller
10. '02 Jordan

How about KG? Ability wise he seemed pretty close to his 08 self. How do you feel about him if he stayed healthy?

If he stayed healthy, KG is definitely on that level. Best defender of the bench.

How do you think Jordan would've played without that rib injury?

This looks pretty good. I think I'd put Mailman ahead of Dirk--like KG he dealt with an injury that affected his level of play. Dirk was actually better in his 16th season than his 14th or 15th (playoffs aside).

Yeah, on a bit more thought I'd move Malone up ahead of Dirk. Duncan/Shaq was another one I was a bit iffy on.

88 Moses is top 4 still basically impossible to stop. Took the Pistons 5 games in the first round. 07 Kidd was still doing his thing as well

1973 Wilt is arguably the best.

Wow. LeBron has been in the league as long as '99 Malone. That's amazing.
I must be old now.

2017 LeBron is clearly the best.
Second would be 2010 Kobe.
Kareem/Karl would be 3rd and 4th (not sure who I would say was better - in RS it's Karl, in playoffs it's KAJ).
