1973 Pacers or 1973 Knicks, who wins?

I was thinking if u matched up NBA Champions with the ABA champs of the same calendar year, would the ABA champions be able to win a 7 game series against any of the NBA champions in that calendar year?

And I believe 2 of the 9 series, I believe u could make the argument that the ABA could legitimate win, and that was Pacers vs Knicks in 1973, and the Kentucky Colonels versus the Golden State Warriors in 1975.

What are your thoughts, about this hypothetical?

I haven't seen any of the 1973 Pacers, but the Knicks from that year had an absolutely unstoppable offense. All 5 guys could dribble, pass, screen, and shoot (and shoot and shoot and shoot). They had no holes on offense and their defense was stingy, anchored by Willis Reed and Clyde Frazier. Good rebounding team too.

That would have been a baby Dr. J & the New York Nets versus an older but still in his prime John Havlicek & Dave Cowens, & JoJo White, the rest of the Boston Celtics. Celtics had too much in 1974 for basically a diaper dandy Dr. J.

Perhaps 1976 New York Nets versus Boston Celtics would be the more competitive series?

Heck no. The '74 team had the Mr. K, the Whopper, and Mike Gale. And Dr. J may have been young but he was the MVP of the league.
