The guy in back to back finals averaged 27 ppg and 29 ppg as a 2nd option, how much more of a leap would you expect?

Defensive effort and understanding to trust teammates.

No he didn't. Cavs played extremely good team defense on him by having Lebron shade him with JR and Shumpert being the primary defenders on him. But you already knew that....

A leap completely unrelated to your rehearsed mental gymnastics routine
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Sensible people after watching this year's Finals: Cavs need to get younger, more athletic on the wings. Need some defense-minded guys.

Cavs offseason thus far: Sign Jose Calderon, re-sign Korver for 3 years (which I'm actually not that opposed to), linked to Melo and Z-Bo. Lol. This team is already showing signs of ineptitude without Griff.

Who knows what Cedi Osman will be in the NBA, but it looks like he's coming over. That's younger and athletic on the wings..

What's going on with Derrick Williams? I haven't seen anything about him..

On paper Derrick, Cedi and Shump should be those athletic wings, but realistically they just aren't good enough to be difference makers(Against GOAT level Warriors at least)..

I think coaches just hate him. He'd be an above average rotation player if actually given the chance, and was part of one of the Cavs best lineup during the season.

This. Not only that, TT switched out on to him and Curry shot worse against him than against Irving in 2016.

Also, Irving averaging "27 and 29 as a second option" as JB likes to say isn't really true--Kyrie's usage is just as high as James' so Kyrie is really a 1A option. With that much usage, 27 and 29 isn't that big of a deal when you look at his TS and ORating.

Kyrie mostly has to make an impact leap. Curry can not play very well but he's still making an impact by just being on the court first of all, then by getting timely rebounds, being a better playmaker, better rebounder, better defender than he's given credit for. Curry has been a top 3 impact player for four consecutive seasons. Kyrie hasn't even been top 30 in any season. There's the leap.

Switch Curry and Irving and the Cavs win in 5. Curry is a universe above Irving as far as impact is concerned which I mentioned before the finals but you have your mental gymnastics down to a science.

Me too, but it would not surprise me. LeBron is a family man and has many aspirations in life besides basketball. If he decides to hang it up after next year I would have no qualms with him.

As a basketball fan, however, I would like to see him keep going because of the sheer enjoyment I get from watching him night in, night out.

Well 50 years is a long time more for him to live even if he is only 32 now. A lot of players have been gone in there 50's.

With Jeff Green coming in, one must suppose that Williams is on the way out.

Doesn't make sense to me. Then again, things haven't made sense at all lately.

They're both the same player, really. Tweeners who cannot defend and don't shoot well. Williams looked really good when LeBron was on court and poor when James sat but still better than before.

They definitely have similarities. Williams is younger and by all accounts similarly talented which is why I don't understand it.

If we signs Crawford I'll be more disappointed than when Lebron left
