With another championship under his belt, has Curry already surpassed Kobe?

Not, until he wins a Finals MVP

Kobe is legendary. Steph has a long road to achieve that status.

He needs some more good years.
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.

If their was a draft and i could take a young Kobe or a young Curry... I'm taking a young Curry, 10 out of 10. Curry's ability to open things up for his teammates is something that Kobe could never do.

I wonder if you would still pick Curry knowing he was very prone to injury.

Do you believe that Curry is one of the 15 greatest players of all-time?

No, not yet at least. I don't think he will (I have Kobe in the 8-11 range), so it's nearly impossible to break that bar but it's possible he's in the conversation when it's all said and done.

I do think Curry and KD are already top 25 players of all time though.

That's plainly untrue. Kobe was masterful at hitting the open man for the three out of the double team, or finding the open big in the paint. Kobe's game definitely, and obviously opened things up for Gasol & Bynum, but really that whole LA team from 2008-2011.

Oh god, stop it. I'm not even convinced that Curry peaked higher, and he's still significantly behind in longevity and accolades.

And shooting over 5 defenders instead of passing at all!

Kobe is still comfortably higher than Steph AT but not so sure about the legendary thing. People are already starting to call it "Curry" Curry when you shoot instead of Kobe. He has also changed how the league view 3 pointers. Curry will need 3 more season comparable to this year and a FMVP // MVP though. Him starting late hurts him a bit.

Man I like Curry...but I still have him behind Kobe...honestly, KD made up some ground on Kobe imo, with that performance in the finals. I know Steph was good in the finals but man KD really took it to Lebron and that is what I like to see. That shot when Durant came down and he must have had it planned but to drill that in Lebron's face took big cajones.

But back to Steph, he will be hard to rate because he took a while to get started in the NBA, but once he did arrive he went cosmic, so he has some stellar years...(don't know why I'm using all these space references...) he just needs to be consistent for another 4-5 years...couple more titles and I don't see why he can't be compared to the best of all time.....
I'm so tired of the typical......

That's all fine and dandy. But when a few high ankle sprains start happening, or when the defense starts to realize that touching him up a little can rattle him, I think the "glimmer" will start to wear off.

And I'll have to wait and see if he can win a FMVP before I can put him in the top 15 of all time.

Peak Kobe was incredible offensively AND defensively.

Not sure how nobody has mentioned this yet.

I could EASILY argue 2003 Kobe was at his peak offensively and defensively.

It's been debated on here frequently actually.

Supposing you have a good team defense that can hide Curry a little against guarding great offensive players and the two are playing against each other then I think yes Curry is the better player.
