Larry Sanders/Desagana Diop/Matt Bonner
Sam Perkins/David Lee/Derrick Williams
Jamal Mashburn/Iman Shumpert
Kerry Kittles/Jason Terry
Steve Francis/Ty Lue/Cameron Payne
H.C. Rick Carlise
-Sam Perkins in his Seattle 3pt shooting days
-Iman Shupert in his pre ACL-tear Knick days
-Larry Sanders isn't crazy
Everyone else in random prime years
Extra question, what is their NBA offensive and defensive rankings (1-30)?
I say #11ish offense, #10ish defense, 6seed -the team has a HOF coach and is greatter than the sum of it's parts.
How good is this team in '17, West?

Maybe a 45 win team.

I think they don't sniff the playoffs. I don't think they are as good as Memphis for instance.

I don't see that as a playoff team. I'm not sure why they are better than Portland - especially post Nurkic. They have depth but who is your best player?

That team can't score enough points to compete. I'm not sure what 35-40 wins gets you the west, but that might be too high.

Idk why people don't think this team would score. Rick Carlise is the HC and it has 3 all-stars and a DPOY candidate, with a 6MOY and a couple other high profile role players.

you mean Francis/Mashburn? they got points, but with how many FGA? I remember their teams, and they really didn't exactly dominate on offense.

Yeah Francis and Mashburn is a pretty inefficient 1-2 punch offensively. On the other hand that is some pretty good depth. I say they battle for one of the last couple of seeds on the strength of their bench and coaching, but nothing more than that really.

You said "random prime years"
Using random.org, I got:
'00 Francis - 18 ppg, 54% TS 4 TO, 7 Ast
'97 Masburn (Miami split) - 13 ppg, 51% TS/6 reb, 4 ast
'04 Kittles - 13 PPG, just 1.2 TO, 53% TS, 4reb, 3 ast
'01 Terry - 20 ppg, 5 apg, 3 TO, 53% TS
We'll pick Perkins' best Seattle year by WS - '95: 13 ppg, 5 rpg, 2 apg, 60% TS
'10 Lee - 20/12/4 - made All Star Team - 58% TS, bad D
'12 Shumpert coming off the bench - 10/3/3 - 48% TS
'13 Sanders - 10/10/3 blk pg
So I apply this to real world:
'13 Sanders
'10 Lee
'97 Mashburn
'00 Francis
'01 Terry
'95 Perkins
'04 Kittles
'12 Shumpert
Francis or Terry is in at all times manning the point.
2 of Perkins, Sanders & Lee are in at all times - this is literally your 3 best players and you can't play them all together.
Kittles (35 mpg), Shump take the remaining minutes.
Strengths:
-Depth gives me a high floor
-I rarely have lineups where you can "hide" a horrid defender - at least on the perimeter for sure.
-I have solid floor spacing
Weaknesses:
-Not great ball movement, so the floor spacing may not materialize into anything
-I can't play my 3 best players together; they need someone else to get them the ball & I have shoot first point guards.
-During the 20 mpg where Sanders is out, I have zero rim protection.
-David Lee is my best player.
That's not an awful team by any means.
I just don't know where a team with David Lee as my best player is going. I think my offense hovers around 9th-14th in efficiency & my defense is in the 15th-20th range.
I think that's a 35-45 win team that most likely finishes +/-2 games of .500 in the West. That's not going to get you in the Western playoffs.

4 seed. There is more talent and depth than most teams in the NBA. Few coaches today are better than Carlisle.
