They are both known as scorers but That's a pretty big difference in TS% to be honest

not surprising at all. Curry's 5 year prime stack up well with pretty much anyone not named Lebron or Jordan

Curry plays in an era where a guy like Harden puts up raw numbers that blow everyone since the 60's out of the water and teams are scoring 90 points at the half.

Except Curry also puts up massive impact while Harden doesn't.

Like Jordan, he's the only guy to make a 55 win team into a 70 win team.

Not surprised at all about this - Curry is simply a more impactful player than Kobe, and not by a small margin either.

Curry dominates all advanced stats. Kobe never did.

Era don't matter.

Curry is multiple levels better than Bryant at his best. You don't need the numbers to see that, and it shouldn't be controversial.

It shouldn't detract from Bryant either. Aside from a dozen or so players in the last say 30 years, he has a strong case over nearly every player.

David Robinson 5 year peak: 28.2 PER, .586 TS%, .263 WS/48, 9.0 BPM

Hakeem Olajuwon 5 year peak: 25.4 PER, .564 TS%, .191 WS/48, 5.8 BPM

Tells you just about squat.

Like Jordan, he's the only guy to make a 55 win team into a 70 win team.

And unlike most people, he has a supporting cast that can get that many wins on their own.

Never compare TS% cross eras and don“t forget to include turnover % if you want to have a complete picture of scoring efficieny.

curry in his peak plays in a softer, more rapidly paced era with heavy emphasis on 3 pt shooting. Not to mention he also plays with a squad that can win 55+ games on their own.

Kobe played against tougher competition alongside future HOFers smush parker and Kwame Brown in his peak.

Wildly different than Magic having a top 5 of all time in his team, KAJ having a top 5 of all time, Jordan's team going 55 wins without him, Lebron being in 2 super teams with 2 all stars either with the 3 best SG of all time or being with the Cavs where each of his PG is an MVP candidate in another team, or Kobe who had the most dominant player of all time in his team.

Those top guys really took a rag tag of scrubs for each of their titles.

These stats adjust for pace...

There's no case that kobe faced tougher competition.

As for "softer", that is subjective as the rules changes on hand checking were in 05. Most of Kobe's peak was with today's "softer" rules.

Are people really using rules excuse? Kobe's peak years (2006/2007) coincided with year following the rule change where the refs gave the softest fouls I've ever seen. He averaged 10+ FTA those years too. This wasn't the late 90's we're talking about here

That was my point.

This. Inflated stats and 130 point games are real.

20 years form now that won't look as ridiculous.

What does Harden have to do with Steph?
