The crossover to left handed dunk was just disgusting.

Bump after season-high 36 points vs. Bulls.

Leading the league in PER, BPM, and VORP currently after last night's game. Historically, it's a pretty good indicator of MVP level play (6 of the last 7 winners have led the league in at least 2 of those metrics). He's the clear MVP front-runner at this point.

I am convinced. As LeBron starts to decline, and Giannis comes into his own, I think he will be the consensus best player in the league in about 3 years.

I think in 3 years the players will be Embiid, Davis and Giannis as the most popular best player. None of these players will be the consensus best like LeBron as it took Lebron a few years of being the best to be the consensus best. I would imagine it will look somewhat like the early 2000's with Garnett, Duncan and Shaq claiming the rotational throne.

Shaq just gave his Superman nickname to Giannis. A lot of people compare him to Shaq because of how he dominates the paint. In the playoffs last year at age 23 he outperformed Jordan and LeBron when they were 23. I think he could end up being better than LeBron because of his better rebounding and better ability to protect the paint.

It is possible but highly unlikely given LeBron's clear cut advantage as a shooter, creator, and ball handler. If anyone in the current landscape has a chance at ending up in the top 10 it is Giannis though.

LeBron had the GOAT playoff run (statistically) at the age of 24 so we will need to see how Giannis does this year though.

Giannis does have a great shot at winning MVP this season and hopefully a deep playoff run is in store against, finally, some good basketball teams if Kyrie can stay healthy along with the 76ers and Raptors. Heck, I think even the Pacers this season are better than the Kyrie-less Celtics of last year.

You have to wonder if Giannis is essentially the GOAT-ball-handling center in NBA history? I mean functionally, the guy is playing C right now for his team right? Am I off base here?

I get the Shaq comparisons and agree with them. When most players get post position deep inside and get double-teamed, they lay it up. Giannis dunks out of nowhere, and it makes me go "wait, was he close enough to the basket to actually do that against two defenders?" It's nuts. Really does remind me of my favorite player growing up.

Antetokounmpo has 105 dunks on the season.
NBAs record for a season is 269 dunks and it belongs to Dwight Howard since the 2008 season.
With his current pace he will break that around March.

Btw he became 24, so happy b-day i guess

He should have been more aggressive in terms of scoring, Jordan would have been.

he's my MVP. I think he has an ever improving midrange and post game. he has one of the most unstoppable plays in basketball(Lebron PnR drive and Curry relocate). clear out for a two man side PnR with Giannis as the big. when he gets the ball he has so many options and fantastic at all. spins, hops, floaters, improving post, midrange pop, just dunking or finishing with length/height and of course his euro. plus his high level of wing vision.
he's someone I could see making a 30/20/10 a regularity.

I knew he'd be dominant, but dominant enough to make Shaq, SHAQ give up his nickname????

Holy ****. Just like with Shaq, how do you actually stop him without hiring 7-foot stiffs to just foul the **** out of him every game? You have to triple team him and hope his teams miss 3s, right?

The player I just described should by all accounts be considered a serious GOAT contender, but it seems an insane prediction to make just because of how much it takes to even sniff the top 10. I'm excited for what is to come, though.

This dude is the truth. The rightful heir.

I'll say it again. He may be the best ball-handling C in NBA history. He really does protect the paint and clean up the glass at a high level. And his ability to grab offensive rebounding and score inside is terrifying and legendary.

People compare him to Shaq and he is similar but he reminds me a lot like Wilt structurally. His shoulders and chest are shaped like Wilt's and the mechanincs of his shoulders and chest are similar to Wilt's as well. You can stop Giannis but you need players like Odom and Garnett to put on him.

He had an uncharacteristic, weirdly inefficient start to the season the first 3-4 games or so, but since then he's at 27/13/6 on 65.6% TS (22 games). Feels like the entire rest of the team outside of Brogdon is in a shooting slump from 3 though.

I remember before he even entered the league I was a on a website named Hoopsnation, I don't know if anyone knows it but I had my username as Antetokounmpo and I said he was going to be an amazing player. People used to make fun of me on that website.

I think he got bigger recently in the upper back and the torso. He must be weightlifting still during the season.

The plays around 2:55 and 3:12 are amazing.
