The lakers are getting blown out by Andrew Wiggins without Lebron...

Lebron IN (34 G, 20-14)

+2.48 SRS, -0.4 Offense, -2.5 Defense, +2.1 Net

Lebron OUT (5G, 1-4)

-5.86 SRS, -7.0 Offense, -2.8 Defense, -4.2 Net

Well the OFF sample will continue to tank further after tonight. Probably close to a 10 point SRS swing - pretty much in line with the Cleveland years.

Lakers were 4th on Christmas day, less than 2 weeks later, they're just a game ahead of the 9th seed, closer to 9th than 7th.

But, but, but...the whole system revolves around him. That’s why teams are bad without him. It’s his fault. Never before in any other sport have I seen this logic and argument. Time and time again, we see why LeBron is by miles and miles the all time leader in Value Over Replacement Player.

Hes probably right up there with MJ all time, but most of us don't want to say it yet. He'll never be viewed that way in public to many until he wins a couple more though. He is in my top 3, think number 2 honestly over Kareem.

**** hate watching this pathetic team without him. They suck.

Lebron is by far the mvp rn

Hopefully AD or Dame this summer. Or 2 "B" level guys like Beal, Jrue, Marc G. Still praying KD leaves to NY

Also, “Lonzo couldn’t operate with LeBron taking the ball all the time.” —some Lakers fans (not including posters like MyUniBroDavis who’s one of the best posters around).

Well, we see where Lonzo is at right now.

You have to admit this is the worst spacing and talent fit Lonzo Ball and maybe even Brandon Ingram have ever played with in their careers.

Why should they be subject to make offensive miracles with this horrible roster just because LeBron had a few too many shooters and not enough initiators in his 2017-2018 Finals campaign.

The problem is the Lakers didn't build anything, they just grabbed names they could get on short term deals to ensure future cap space.

Their young players are trash. You could build a consistent lottery team around them, though, if that's what you want.

Maybe we were a bit too harsh on Bron defensively the last 2 years, this Cavs system is something else.

I don't think he's the same defender he once was, but I also believed last year that his bad defense was mostly just him looking at the lay of the land, realizing no amount of defensive effort on his part was going to make an impact because there'd just be a breakdown after he made a play, and deciding the effort wasn't worth the energy cost. That energy was of more use on the offensive end where he was less reliant on others making the right play.

if the Lakers' young guns keep playing like this they can kiss any trade for Davis out the window. I wonder if they regret not going all in for Kawhi when they had the chance?

I sincerely can't wait for the next post about how LeBron has already in ~30 games sapped away the talent and BBIQ of this "promising" young squad to the extent that they can't do anything without him "just like he did to his previous teammates".

Just can't wait.

I also heard that they were a "40-win team when healthy last year. Could've won 45-50 this year if he hadn't joined them"

For real though why do they seem so bad without LeBron?
