Kuzma was laughably invisible in the Raptors game. For a guy who's only calling card is volume scoring it is telling if he can't make an impression with Lakers injuries and Lebron minutes cap

Defensive numbers lol. Good way to cherry pick stats to support any weak narrative. I remember the stat that Spurs were better defensively without Kawhi. Those are the type of "facts" you can get from those defensive stats.

Please Gooner, explain to us why players shoot worse when lebron is guarding them than when he's not if he's a terrible defender? Does he just make them nervous?

What % of plays is Lebron actually guarding someone though, because it sure doesn’t seem like a lot? Not much value in guarding someone better than average if you’re only guarding someone 30% of the time.

Il be interested see what kind of players he can recruit . That’s always been part of the deal of getting him. This year didn’t go as good as could have due to injury and inept rotations but 1year deals were set up for a this off season and next

Oof that was an ugly ending lmao. His time at the top is done.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

I thought they were limiting his minutes? Looks like he played the whole 4th.

All of this seems surreal almost. Its mid March and all there's really nothing to play for.

In spite of everything the Lakers were 28-27 at one point with LBJ returned. This is pathetic

Was watching some vids from his 17-18 season and it's sad to see how much he dropped off.

Doesn't move as well, looks heavier when he runs, less stamina, can't finish as well around the him etc
He has to exert more effort to do things he did seemingly effortlessly just last year.

His numbers still look great, and there's also the fact that he's not nearly as comfortable with his new team as he was with Cavs, but he's just not the same player.

Should just shut it down for the season, there’s literally no point for him to be playing. Freshen up the mind and body and see what season 17 brings.

Wonder how all that extra time off will benefit him.

He's back to looking stiff and slow the last couple of games.

And what an embarrassing finish today. Blew an 11 point lead in the last 3 minutes with LeBron on the floor. He was 4-15 FG in the 4th qtr alone. 15 FGA in one qtr!!! Some really bad hero ball.

Might as well shut it down for the season if he's gonna look like this.

That's basically what being in your early/mid thirties is like.
You're gonna have days when you feel great, then bad ones etc until there's only bad days....

This is really the first season in his 30's where that's been the case. From 2015-2018 (age 30-33), once he began looking good, that's how he stayed all year. This season has been so up and down. There are stretches where he looks good, followed by stretches where he looks straight up old. Mid-November to early December was easily the best he looked this season. The other good stretch was Feb 27 to March 12 (Bulls game). Besides those 2 stretches of about 20 games total, he has looked OLD all year.

The Lakers need to manage him better next season.

Since they probably can't afford to rest him outright, he needs to play less minutes.

Though they're doomed if they can't get a superstar in the offseason.

The Lebron Thread - 2018 - 2019 - Pt. 2

Post#1375 » by Greyhound » Mon Mar 18, 2019 12:18 am

Conspiracy theory:

LeBron was lured into a trap by a bunch of people close to individuals that hold a personal beef with him.

Magic

Pat Riley’s guy. LeBron and Riley has a falling out...

I can see Magic having a negative view towards LeBron because of how things transpired between he and Riley.

Pelinka

Kobe Bryant’s agent. I personally believe that Kobe has been waging a secret war against LeBron for years. Kobe takes the press LeBron gets as an offense to him and he cannot understand how he is getting Jordan comparisons (the very thing he played for) when Lebron is not even above him (in his mind).

Kobe was a part of Kyrie leaving Cleveland (some believe) as Kyrie consulted with him. Could he have played a role in poisoning Kyrie (who looks up to him) against LeBron (who he wants to see fall)?

Who knows?

I suspect that Kobe welcomes the challenge of cremating LeBron in their post career ventures stage of their careers.

Jeanie Buss

Long time girlfriend of Phil Jackson. LeBron and Phil had a falling out in the press that had some racial insensitivity elements to it. Phil also had a falling out with Carmelo Anthony (who she refused to sign). Judging by how she has protected Luke it would not be out of the realm of believability to think that she may hold a negative opinion of LeBron (due to his interactions with her former long time boyfriend).

LeBron was sold with smiles and fluff on the surface, but was incapable of seeing the knives laying in wait.
From the questionable roster construction to the media leaks, these things make perfect sense if you consider sabotage the motive.

***This is not to be taken seriously and I bring it up for amusement purposes, mainly.***

Imagine if people behind the scenes collaborated to destroy LeBron James (the image). He and his team gullibly went into this situation believing it would boost his brand and business opportunities, only to find himself stuck in a trap meticulously set to assassinate that which he holds most dear...

His image.
Don't believe the hype...

I'd love to see what the conspiracy theory guy has to say on Le Decision

It was a stupid narcissistic play that was done with good intention.

It backfired and exploded in their faces.

I see you have been triggered into “LeTroll mode” (Le prefix dead giveaway). Hopefully I was able to satisfy your curiosity.

As this miserable seasons draws to a close, let's look at a time when LeBron was a beast (like last year!).

Even beyond the crazy dunks, notice how fluid and bouncy he looks just moving up and down the court.

He has a hurt groin. I don't think some of you realize how that impacts an athlete. Every move he makes aggravates it. This isn't a hurt wrist or even knee, it is a groin injury. Quickness, explosion, lift are all going to be compromised when you have that injury.

Yeah, he definitely came back too early and I don't think he's 100% yet. Honestly missing the playoffs this year is probably the best thing for him.
