Peak Pau Gasol on Blazers

Where would they rank in the West going into the '20 season?

They'd be as good as anyone going into the season. At worst Pau could step into the Nurkic role effectively if they didn't have other pans for him. Meanwhile, he'd also be versatile enough to play alongside Whiteside, at least for stretches. Plus, a Gasol capable of playing starter's minutes would go a long way toward improving Portland's depth, which right now looks like their greatest weakness.

All that said, it's super hard to rank the West before this season and it's totally plausible that some other team or teams will wind up on a level that the Pau Blazers couldn't touch.

Peak Pau never would sign with Portland so the outlook isn't any different as it is today.

Probably the favorites. At the very least, neck and neck with LAC, etc.. But probably the favorites.

They’d probably have as good a shot as the Clippers or Lakers of winning it all. Lillard, McCollum, and Gasol is a quality trio, and not to mention Nurk/Whiteside.

I’d still favor the Lakers/Clippers over them because they have the higher end talent and two best players in the world, but they’d be right there with those teams.

They’d probably win it all to be honest Portland has a great squad and an all round all-star big is exactly what they need.

Depend which Gasol you get in the playoffs. Gasol 3 postseasons where he played well. The rest of his postseason career he drastically underperformed .

Because it has never happened before in our history. Like many other teams out there we just don't draw in the big names when they are in their prime.
