Bill Russell 1963-64Time limit to get your vote in: 60 hours.
Please submit your votes by 11:00 pm July 28 Eastern TimeThe rules
Reasoning/statistical support is required for votes to be counted. A simple list of names will not be counted.
THE VOTING SYSTEM:
Everyone gives their 1st-ballot choice, 2nd-ballot choice, and 3rd-ballot choice. I'll award 4,5 pts for a 1st ballot, 3 for a 2nd ballot, and 2 for a 3rd. Highest point-total wins the spot (24-hour run-off will then only be done in the unlikely event of a tie).
Players don't get credit for all the votes they receive in a round, we just count the votes (and the points) for the designated year. At the end of the 48 hours (not sure about that) the season that has most points wins. Other voted seasons of the winning player will get a mention.
So, you can use your 3 choices to vote for more than 1 season of the same player (if you think that the best 3 seasons among the players left belong all to the same player, nothing is stopping you from using all you 3 choices on that player), but you can't continue voting for other seasons of that player once he wins and gets his spot. The final list will be 1 season per player, with a mention of the other seasons of the winning player who received votes.
Thank you for your participation!

I am going to a peace garden and then seeing an orchestra at a band shelter. Fingers crossed nothing happens to her!

I'm a single 25 year old man.

Only one was a proper date, the other was more of a prelude.

N.1 HAKEEM OLAJUWON 1993
One of the best defensive season of all time, I only have Russell above him. 5 blk per game in PS, despite the loss against Seattle I think 93 was his best season overall.
N.2 HAKEEM OLAJUWON 1994
Similar to 93, better on O a little bit worse on D, but all time level postseason en route for his first title.
N.3 STEPHEN CURRY 2017
I think Steph is one of the best 3 or 4 best offensive player of all time, 2017 was just his best version in PS.

Why Curry over Magic?

Good question, I hope my English can be enough.
Magic was an all time force in transition (Thanks to the defense of Kareem, Worthy and Cooper), in HalfCourt he was limited;
Curry is all time level with and without the ball, in transition and in HalfCourt.

Magic is arguably the best post scorer in league history. This is from 1990 but it's the most points Magic ever scored in back to back games and probably the best way I can show exactly what Magic did in the halfcourt when he was aggressive.
It make sense too. He wasn't just a constant mismatch but also had impeccable touch and a brain that allowed him to exploit even the smallest mismatches. Transition might be the flashiest plays he has but he's just as unstoppable when the game slows down. The 90 and 91 Lakers were some of the slowest teams in the league both years and the 88, 90, and 91 Lakers all had slower paces than the 16 Warriors.

Not really and it says arguably for a reason, but I'd enjoy if you actually made a slight effort to challenge your current views and learn more about players instead of being contentious when posters attempt to refute a pretty strange observation you have on a player especially when that strange observation is that Magic freaking Johnson was limited in the halfcourt.

To be fair, you’re observation is just as strange. Magic wasn’t the best post player on his own team for the majority of his career let alone NBA history.

Magic isn't the best post scorer ever, but he's the best post player ever imo, thanks to his ability to create opportunities for others from the post.
Claiming Magic is limited in the half court, especially in comparison to Curry of all players (a guy who's genuinely limited for ATG standards on the half court), is just utterly bizarre. Especially late in his career Magic had arguably more mastery over the pace of the game than anyone else ever.

You can keep believing this but there's a strong argument that he was close to Kareem in post scoring (Kareem beat him in almost every other way scoring wise though). It's not like Magic was ever locked down from 85-90. He consistently was able to get his shot off against defenses using his height advantage and touch. Kareem might be better if you don't take into account the fact Magic was a mismatch all the time though.

That's a good point I didn't even think of while reading his post. Curry is extremely limited on ball in halfcourt sets, that's actually the main thrust of my argument against him. He can't consistently get to the rim, or create good looks on ball so defenses that can limit his ability to get shots off an make him pass can easily halt the offense. The 2016 Finals was full of plays where Curry was trapped and turned it over. Off ball he's amazing but if you're not Reggie Miller there's a limit to how much impact you can have without the ball.

The Olajuwon thing is getting out of control. If I wasn't traveling so much for work, I'd be going at this a bit harder.
1. '94 Olajuwon
2. '87 Magic
3. '93 Olajuwon.
I've elaborated on the whys in prior posts.
I'm going to continue voting for 2 Olajuwon years until he is in (3, if Magic gets in).

I really don’t understand your viewpoint when Curry is significantly more impactful both on and off-ball in comparison to Reggie.
Curry’s limitations on-ball in 2016 were a direct result of his injury. He couldnt even iso Kyrie 1 vs 1 that series.
Btw I am very interested in anything you have that may suggest Magic is better in the post than Kareem
