In place of Derozan and Aldridge. How far do they go?

Win title. Peak Duncan is the best player in the league and Manu is likely a top 10-15 player while a top 5 post-season player.

I’m not a huge fan of the supporting cast around Duncan and Manu. Guys like Mills, Gay and Bellinelli are another year older, not better but those 2 at their peaks together make any squad a title threat though. I just don’t know if they are necessarily the favorite.

The title is in play depending on how various things break - but it's not a guarantee. They'll be in the hunt for sure & are in the top tier of contenders though.

Definite contenders. Likely even the favorites.

Top group of teams contending for the title, arguably best chance to win out of everyone.

I go back and forth on whether or not I would rather have '08 Manu.
All-Time Spurs

T. Parker '13 | J. Silas '76 | J. Moore '83
G. Gervin '78 | M. Ginóbili '08 | A. Robertson '88
K. Leonard '17 | S. Elliott '95 | B. Bowen '05
T. Duncan '03 | L. Aldridge '18 | T. Cummings '90
D. Robinson '95 | A. Gilmore '83 | S. Nater '75

I think you take Manu in 05. His post-season is one of the best SG non-MJ/Wade/Kobe post-season runs of alltime.

They'd be the best team in the league.

I'm also on Reddit. Saw a thread about comparison between Klay and Manu, the top comment was in favour of Klay, I pointed out Manu's 2005 playoff run being legendary and Klay is yet to reach that height. They couldn't handle it and downvoted the sh.t out of my comment, lol.

I'm glad that Duncan got that FMVP in 2005 because Parker being FMVP in 2007 would make TD winning only half of the awards available till 2014. And Kobe stans / most casual fans wouldn't shut up about it. But like you sad Manu had one of the best runs ever and had a very good chance to win FMVP award.
The issue with per75 numbers;
36pts on 27 fga/9 fta in 36 mins, does this mean he'd keep up the efficiency to get 48pts on 36fga/12fta in 48 mins?
The answer; NO. He's human, not a linearly working machine.
Per75 is efficiency rate, not actual production.

That team would be top 4-5 in the league.
Dejuante Murray
Derrick White
Many Ginóbili
Rudy Gay
Tim Duncan

Is pretty Jazz like. DeRozan seems pretty underrated - that team really has nobody

Looks pretty good, lots of ball handling and playmaking. I just worry if they have anyone to defend the bigger SFs in the league - maybe Carroll?

It's a WCF that's going seven in clippers spurs.

Paul George > 2005 Manu (barely)
Kawhi = Duncan

Just about how supporting casts play.

That is again an opener for turning a thread that has nothing to do with Kawhi into a Kawhi discussion, like every post of yours. When does this stop?

OP asked how a team would do in 2019-20. I compared them to the clear cut best team.

2003 Duncan would be the best player in the league in 2019, Kawhi wouldn't touch him.

Don’t you know better by now than to argue Kawhi with him?

Kawhi is the better scorer, shooter, ball handler, equal playmaker, more efficient. I would say Kawhi is clearly the better offensive player and Duncan is clearly the better defensive player. Which puts them at roughly a coin flip.

They’ve won titles with worse role guys. Some of them in 07’ looked near death.
