I voted for Curry and Garnett. Both Curry and Garnett are very close to James; Dwight not so much.

Is Dwight going to be satisfied running pick and roll or is he going to want post ups? Because if it's the latter, got to pick Curry/KG.

If he'll actually do what he's good at, James/Howard is a good pick. People seem to have forgotten how dominant Howard was before his back injury. Howard/James are way ahead of Curry/KG on the defensive end.

The problem with Dwight is he can't really be a #2 Star, or even a #1 Star. His only role is being the only Star.

I'd go with KG and Steph here.

LeBron is so far ahead of everyone else it makes this an easy choice. Howard is the 4th best player but at his peak he was a top 3 player and is underrated on this board. Given neither KG or Curry's games were very Playoff resilient LeBron wins this.

Curry + KG. Who knows how many years LeBron decides to grace your team with his presence.

Curry/KG

that passing and spacing.. that pick and roll. Even though this isn’t Curry’s peak, I’d still take them

In this scenario that doesn't matter as it's asking about 1 season of play only.

OP didn't say 1 season of play only

For one season I'd rather have LBJ plus D12

Curry and KG. Dwight is outclassed in this comparison. Even at his peak he's a defensive player who doesn't lock down his matchup nor communicate well with his team. SVG was the guy yelling out rotations.

On offense he has Ben Simmons syndrome. Basically a guy with too much offensive freedom(yes I know his FGA and USG% are low but eye test says his offensive focus wasn't, and that translated to his defensive lapses at times, specifically in the playoffs) despite being the worst or 2nd worst offensive player on the floor.

Prime Kevin Garnett getting Draymond's looks on the short roll? Oh god, I want to see it.

I have 04 Garnett and 13 Lebron as basically even. 17 Steph isn't too far behind. Dwight is the odd man out.

I went with Garnett/Steph.

Gotta be Steph and KG

KG would flourish as a second option and he provides everything Draymond does and more.

On paper, it’s 13 LBJ/11 Howard, but in my gut i’d probably prefer 17 Curry/04 KG. They seem like a smoother fit, and you just don’t know if Lebron may get his offense limited by a calculated defense like the 13 Spurs did, and Dwight himself is underrated i think but he’s still the worst guy here by a margin.
