Re: 2008 Kobe vs 2009 Kobe Playoffs
It’s definitely 2008 playoffs IMO.
Kobe had 3 perfect series against the WC. He was great in each series. Then fall short against one of the top defensive sides ever at their top.
In 2009, he had 2 above average (for a superstar) series. In fact I put Jackson and Kobe at fault for that Rockets series. They have no excuse about being forced to play a game 7 against a team without their stars. Then he played a perfect series in 2009 WCF and 2009 Finals performance was just best Finals performance.
To rank his playoff series performances 2008 would have 3 of top 5, and 2009 would have 2 of bottom 5.
This is not just about winning the ring. I’m not gonna pick 2009 if the only reason’s the ring.

The issue with per75 numbers;
36pts on 27 fga/9 fta in 36 mins, does this mean he'd keep up the efficiency to get 48pts on 36fga/12fta in 48 mins?
The answer; NO. He's human, not a linearly working machine.
Per75 is efficiency rate, not actual production.
