The Braves keep their insane frontcourt of Moses/McAdoo/Dantley together for the whole year alongside perennial all-star Randy Smith and the semi-resurgent Ernie D. How are their individual careers altered and how is NBA history changed?

This team would be the most exciting team to watch possibly in the whole history. Especially if they had played together more seasons.
Moses and McAdoo is a perfect fit, ultimate combination of spacing and inside pressence. Dantley would probably play similar role as he played in the Lakers. They would be very dangerous, maybe big Mac wouldn't have his problems he had in reality.

I say AD is traded after the season for a more-perimeter oriented player, just like in real life. McAdoo stays in Buffalo and the Braves do too. Ernie D. plays a few more seasons. Not sure about Moses
