Kerr, october 2017. It seems like a recurrent "strategy" by Kerr.

An interesting year for Curry is shaping up. I get the feeling he's going to put his stamp on it. +1200 odds to win the championship this year isn't it? He's succeeded with longer odds.

I think if Steph continues to run in Kerr's meatgrinder system he'll have no legs left towards the latter half of the season. This can increase chances of injury. I think Dray might also burn out. Haven't watched much of preseason yet, admittedly.

Also feel like he needs to score 30-35 every night for them to be in the game.

Interesting season for him. They should pull him quickly if its obvious the season is not going anywhere. Five finals in a row takes a lot out of anyone, especially how given how much Steph is asked to run around and bump against defenses.

I wonder what type of shape Draymond will be in. If he treats this regular season like the last three it could get kinda ugly for these guys. There’s no losing 23 pounds in March for him this year.

He just got paid, not a lot for his services, but that can determine how much fire he plays with down the road if he see's this season as a lost cause.

For whatever reason, I get the vibe that Draymond is going to have a career like an NFL running back, i.e. you get as much as you can from the guy for 5-6 years, run him into the ground, and move on. I don't think he'll fall off a cliff or anything, but all that activity will catch up to him. And as you age it gets increasingly difficult to take the weight off as quickly, and also recovery wise it's harder.

I'm honestly not expecting much from him this season, it'll take a lot for him to replicate the 2015 2016 seasons. Masterful seasons from him.

Sheesh, steph needs the ball in his hands and for the warriors to spam him and russell p&rolls and let the defense fall where it may, they don't really have the defensive talent. Go all out on offense and get steph 24 shots a game it's their only hope. Now, idk of he can do that for a whole season but they gotta do something.

what a mess...we're at the point where we're giving Glen Robinson and Omari Spellman starter minutes

DLo is an absolute fail so far (even worse than I thought he'd be)

and Dray continues to get worse every year

this is a bottom 5 team in the league right now, possibly the worse if Steph misses any time.

Bottom 5? Stop the exaggeration

Curry still gets 2 more stars rn. Draymond has regressed, but still all defense.

They'll be better when healthier. But 2 all stars is still 2 all stars.

no, bottom 5. might have the worst defense in the entire league, the worst wing rotation in the entire league, DLo is overrated and a terrible fit, Green isn't that dude anymore and Looney is out indefinitely

there is no light at the end of the tunnel here..I said before we started we're 1 Curry ankle roll away from picking #1 overall...it's that bad.

^ btw, Looney is been now ruled out indefinitely...so that's 3 starters from last year gone Klay/Durant/Looney, our 6th man is gone in Iggy, our 7th in Liv is gone

and Green is a shell of his former self at this point. it's gonna be a long season.

There are teams that would kill for someone like Russell, let alone Green. Warriors have a lot of problems now, but this is getting ridiculous.

You always have to pay a lot for superteam years. Warriors are still in much better shape than they could be.

The top end talent is alright but they really lack good players in general. They have one elite offensive player, one elite defensive players, then a bunch of guys who are overall neutral or negative players. Curry isn't the type of player who can carry a bad team to the playoffs (in a very strong conference) almost on his own, he creates a lot of space on offense but the guys to take advantage of it just aren't there. Bottom 5 of the West standings at least seems about right.

not saying Dlo is bad...but he's two things: 1) overrated and 2) a terrible fit on this team

I think the pessimism is actually somewhat warranted here. You can't survive in the NBA playing this many marginal players, and the top end talent of the Warriors isn't what it was either. DLO and this Green as your 2nd and 3rd best guys is nowhere near enough to overcome the rest of the roster.

And the Warriors don't have roster flexibility either, they are going to be over the apron with this roster.

Kind shocking how bad they've been so far, not sure if they just didn't take the off season seriously or what, but they're sloppy and look unhappy.

I honestly think D'Lo will be fine, he's a capable creator, scorer and off-ball player, just hard to adjust in these situations. Not having Looney and WCS is killing them though, small ball lineups don't work when you have GR3 and Chriss as your 3 and 4 lmao. Welcome to reality Warriors fans.

I agree. I hated the DLo trade from both in terms of fit and asset management, and I didn't even realise they were going to end up with so much flotsam rounding out the roster. Also, Steph and Draymond aren't the type of stars I'm comfortable relying on so heavily over the course of a regular season, especially after five straight years of extended playoff runs. Really the only reason to hold off on burying this team is out of respect for Steph/Draymond/Kerr, but this definitely has the potential to get ugly fast.
