Yeah, it continued into the 2nd half, need to take a moment and watch Blazers/Kings. Shocked at how bad Conley has been through the first 1.5+ games.

How do u feel about the bench? Outside of Ingles (who has to start with Bogie out) and Royce it looks horrific

I'm not too worried about the bench. Mis-using Davis a bit so far (looking for him as a roll target won't work I fear), but I'm pretty sure he'll be fine eventually. Exum out for now and Mudiay was solid in game 1, though I don't really expect great things from either. I still think 6-8 at least will be solid (Ingles/Royce/Davis).

Watching the end of nuggets suns in OT I'm now convinced my eyes *aren't* deceiving me: jokic somehow gained weight even though he played in FIBA and isn't in great shape. Missed 3 shots in a row that were all gimmes for his standards and just looked kinda out of sorts in general. Hopefully he can shed some weight while playing, because it wasn't pretty.

Yeah, it's super early obviously only 2 games but Towns is averaging 36.5/14.5/5.5/2.5/3.5 in those games. Usually Towns is slow to get going and has an amazing second half, but if he's busting out of the gate this early it could be a really special year for him.

Mikal Bridges is easily one of the smartest defenders I have ever seen. He has Draymond-like defensive IQ, with all the natural rotations and reads he makes, on top of his physical ability to execute them effectively. Hopefully he can become more aggressive offensively as he improves his on-ball ability, so that he can play 30+ MPG and get the recognition he deserves.

Put me clearly in the camp of those who believe he was signed specifically to be traded. I think they knew he wasn't a fit, but I think they believed they can turn him into some useful pieces.

You could be 100% right about this, but I think Warriors fans have a fair gripe that management essentially decided to not be competitive this year by acquiring him. You get the ass4t but impose a hard cap meaning you’ve just wasted an entire year of Curry and Draymond’s prime. I expect both guys to age reasonably well but there are no guarantees.

Get the center rotation healthy, think they'll be fine.

I think people focus on the offense because the offense is fixable. The defense is going to be terrible pretty much no matter what they do just due to personnel but if they want to be above .500 a top 5 offense is asically a necessity and so tailoring the offense to fit the personnel better seems like a reasonable solution.

this is a Myers failure...he neglected the wing position completely...who's our best wing right now? Glen Robinson? in today's NBA that's an insanity...completely failed to account for the departures of KD/Iggy...really to make the DLo trade happen (now we're paying 30mil a pop for a net negative player), we also gave up Iggy and maybe our 1st this year, we put a no-defense PnR-only guard next to Steph (wtf?), and we had 3 picks in this draft to at least address perimeter defense or the wing position and we did neither.

really Myers at this point might be the most overrated exec in the league...still don't know what he's done for this team after West left the building...

The Warriors should improve better than most teams as the season goes along. They are so young and have such a huge roster turnover. It takes time for a new group to get comfortable with an offensive system. Team defense can be learned. This is essentially a year-long training camp.

Out of five preseason games, they played the Lakers four times. Their one regular season game has been against the Clippers. Those are projected as the top two teams in the league this year. They're likely to struggle against the top teams, but so will most of the league.

We'll see how they look a couple of months into the season. Maybe they'll stink, but it's far too early to tell.

Is there any sort of consensus on who is the better offensive and overall player between Towns and Jokic?

Jokic has had phenomenal advanced/impact metrics for quite some time. But if Towns keeps this up (reasonably), he comes across as closer to Davis.

Basically, Jokic until now, but “now” is a work in progress.

Bojan does seem to really help the Jazz offense a ton, by far our best stretch here in the 1st half vs the Kings.
