Kawhi has got to be your favorite player since Jordan, yea?

He's good enough to potentially keep LeBron from winning more rings, but not good enough to surpass MJ himself. It's the perfect combination

It's almost cliche at this point, but he really does seem like 96-98 Jordan. I can see a lot of Jordan fans gravitating to him for that alone.

I can't blame him, Kawhi's becoming my favorite as well (at least among superstars). ;)

I been on the train since he was drafted, I'd like to say I knew he'd be great, but really he's from my hometown, and I wanted him to be great :D

Man they blew this game, but then again Bulls were up 3-1 in two finals and lost game 5 at home. Something about overthinking the moment.

LeBron has never lost when up 3-1 in the Finals. Jordan must not have had that killer instinct to put the series away in that situation :D

If you go back to 2008 and 2009 posts, JB was supporting LeBron as a buffer against Kobe fans claiming GOATdom.

Lebron has been down at least 3-2 every year of his career in a series. He also won 2 bronze medals for the U.S. :o

As Danny Ferry would say: "He's got a little Eastern Conference in him".
East #1 Draft Picks: Fultz, Banchero, Wiggins, Cuninigham
West #1 Draft Picks: Edwards, WIlliamson, Ayton, Towns

Despite only scoring 9,793 points and playing in over 70 games only twice in his career, Kawhi has already carved out a really unique and memorable place in history. He gets so much love, and rightfully so, because of how great of a two-way player he is and how clutch he has been in his career.

ESPN ranked him #25 in their NBA GOAT rankings from earlier this year (which is obviously prisoner of the moment stuff but still). You have people on TV claiming that he has a chance to go down as one of the 10 best players ever, or atleast 10 best primes ever. With Giannis' playoff failure and Durant/Curry out injured, about 85% of fans think he's one of the Top 2 players in the game alongside LeBron at the moment.

Kawhi gets sooo much respect and praise, and because he's so quiet you don't hear too many people hating on him. But losing to the Nuggets in this series, while being outplayed by Jokic, would be a really big blow to the perception of who/what Kawhi is.

Big moment in Kawhi, Paul George, and Doc Rivers' careers coming up in a few hours.

This is really the first legacy game Kawhi has faced where if he loses people are ready to kill him. It might not be on the level of Lebron's game 6 at Boston in 2012, but he damn sure better play like it is!

Not in 2017 :)
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Big game for Kawhi tonight.

Maybe a defining game for his career.

Losing a 3-1 lead as the favorite in the 2nd round would be a blow after title aspirations all season.

Couldn't have gone worse for him. 6-22 shooting. 0 free throws. Game-worst -21 +/- Yikes

Explanations for this epic meltdown?

Kawhi was virtually the same player..glorified assassin, one of the best scorers ever, but other part of the game is still missing.. he needs to be surrounded by good offensive players and he needs a true leader since he is not the one.
I think it is just a terrible idea to not play a lot of RS games, these games will be critical factor when he is all said and done.
