Again......no gold in 2004 or 2006 despite the best talent

and you think 1 player changed all that? Man, thats homerism at its finest.

Kobe DID CHANGE their mindset and their efforts. It's a fact. Are you even trying to deny a fact backed by the statements of the players on that team? Or are you saying that you know better than them who experienced the situation? Are you even there?

lol its a narrative. You have zero back up anything besides some good words from guys on the team paying homage to a legend. From what i saw, on the court, Kobe was mayyyybe the 4th or 5th best player on the team, and thats generous.

Mike Miller or Bruce Bowen. Some player whose game is good for FIBA basketball.

This

Kobe was arguably one of the 2008 teams worst starters and didn't perform even close to Wade and Lebron all tournament

I still can't believe how dominant Wade performed in Beijing after coming off that injury (shoulder?) many kind of just wrote him off going into the Olympics because he missed half the season leading up to it. I feel like a lot of those Olympics gets revisionists because those games were broadcasted at 4-6am in the US. And lets face it, most just caught highlights and ESPN shock value tid bits. Truth is, Wade truly peaked in China

There's a reason Coach K had him in over Bryant most of the tourney, he was so dominant. While Kobe was kind of just settling for a ton of 3's and missing most

Lets not act like 08 team didn't spank Spain just days earlier before the gold game, another one of which that Kobe kind of just 'existed' and went unnoticed.

So you are denying a fact that it was said by those players? So what's your credibility over them though? As I mentioned, were you even there?

Like someone else stated before, just starting Wade instead of Kobe would had gotten the job done.

Didn't happen in 2004 nor 2006.

Correction. Coach K had Wade in over Kidd most of the tourney, not Kobe. Since Kobe still had more mins than DWade and both were on the court at the same time for most parts of the games.
