F - Blake Griffin, Clippers, Second Round
F - LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland, Second Round
G - Damian Lillard, Portland, Second Round
G - Bradley Beal, Washington, Second Round
Also Considered: Tony Parker, John Wall, David West
- I had forwards as 4 of the top 5 players in these playoffs so it was unfortunate that Paul George and Kawhi had to be bumped to the second team.
- My toughest decisions were Chris Paul or Ginobili for a first team spot and Beal or Tony Parker for the last guard spot.
- Amazing that Tim Duncan gets a first team spot here at 37 years old. This Spurs team hammered Miami in 5 games in the Finals. Their 4 victories were by an average of 18 points and the one loss was by 2 points.

Re: Vote for the 2014 All-Playoffs Team
Series MVPs
1st Round
Brooklyn over Toronto (Joe Johnson)
Indiana over Atlanta (Paul George)
Miami over Charlotte (LeBron James)
Washington over Chicago (Trevor Ariza)
Clippers over Golden State (Blake Griffin)
Oklahoma City over Memphis (Kevin Durant)
Portland over Houston (LaMarcus Aldridge)
San Antonio over Dallas (Manu Ginobili)
CSF
Indiana over Washington (Paul George)
Miami over Brooklyn (LeBron James)
Oklahoma City over Clippers (Kevin Durant)
San Antonio over Portland (Tony Parker)
CF
Miami over Indiana (LeBron James)
San Antonio over Oklahoma City (Tim Duncan)
Finals
San Antonio over Miami (Kawhi Leonard)
1st Team
Tim Duncan
LeBron James
Kevin Durant
Russell Westbrook
Chris Paul
Choices seems pretty clear cut for the 1st team.
2nd Team
Serge Ibaka
Paul George
Kawhi Leonard
Manu Ginobili
Tony Parker
Sliding Ibaka over to center. It really was a 3 man OKC team to this point and while they had both Perkins and Adams, Ibaka was a much bigger part of the team, and played lineups at the 5
It's really hard to know how to slot in the Spurs here. It's the most glorious playoff run of the entire decade. I don't think they would have been peak Warriors by any means, but they were seriously dominant once they got going and they (along with the Warriors) represents the key paradigm shifting teams of this era building upon what the SSOL Suns did in the previous decade. Honest, seriously considered Danny Green for a slot on the 3rd team, I'm that high on what they did here.
3rd Team
Chris Bosh
LaMarcus Aldridge
Blake Griffin
Dwyane Wade
Damian Lillard
Front court is solid, back court is stars with Lillard looking great. I did note though that in the series against the Spurs, neither Wade nor Lillard looked good. Parker may not have been at his best in this playoff run, but I really can't say he got outplayed by any opposing guards other than Westbrook.

Re: Vote for the 2014 All-Playoffs Team
1st team
G: Chris Paul
G: Russell Westbrook
F: Kevin Durant
F: LeBron James
C: Tim Duncan
- Paul and Westbrook were outstanding in playoffs, I don't see any other credible candidate here,
- James had amazing postseason run,
- Durant was inconsistent, but still very good overall,
- Duncan at that age was remarkable.
2nd team:
G: Tony Parker
G: Manu Ginobili
F: Paul George
F: Kawhi Leonard
C: Chris Bosh
- Parker and Manu were key parts of the best team in 2014 playoffs,
- George was very good during these Indiana days, I can see him being ahead of Durant,
- Kawhi is there due to great defense and very solid finals offensively,
- Bosh was probably the second best player on the finals team giving Wade's struggles with health.
3rd team:
G: Damian Lillard
G: Dwyane Wade
F: Boris Diaw
F: Blake Griffin
C: LaMarcus Aldrigde
- Lillard had great first round and not so great second one, but I don't see any better candidate here,
- Wade had his big moments, but was overall very inconsistent due to health problems,
- Diaw was key part of Spurs success and I just can't leave him off that team,
- Blake and LA are the best candidates left.

Re: Vote for the 2014 All-Playoffs Team
1st round:
Nets v Raptors - Joe Johnson probably the best, other stars alright - DeRozan/Lowry/Dwill
Pacers v Hawks - PG13 best, Millsap/Korver alright
Heat v Bobcats - LeBron spectacular, Kemba maybe 2nd best, Wade/Bosh pretty meh
Wizzards v Bulls - Not sure who was the best, Wall/Beal/Ariza all look solid. Butler/Noah pretty meh
Clippers v Warriors - Steph probably best player in the loss, Griffin/CP3 solid, a glimpse of things to come with Dray
Thunder v Grizzlies - KD best, Westbrook/Gasol/Conley look solid
Blazers v Rockets - All the stars look good, Aldridge/Lillard/Howard/Harden
Spurs v Mavs - 1st of many series where it's hard to assign Spurs credit, I generally lean Duncan, starting here. Dirk/Monta somehow made a series of it
2nd round:
Pacers v Wizards - PG13 MVP, Beal/Ariza play solidly in a defensive series
Heat v Nets - More LeBron domination, Wade/Bosh slightly better, Joe Johnson still great
Thunder v Clippers - KD/CP3/Westbrook all great, Griffin a half step behind
Spurs v Blazers - Kawhi top dog in round 2, other Spurs solid, Dame/Aldridge more human
Conference Finals:
Heat v Pacers - PG pretty much plays LeBron even, Wade steps up as #2
Spurs v Thunder - KD/Westbrook probably the top 2, Duncan back to #1 Spur as Spurs prevail on depth
Finals:
Spurs v Heat - LeBron best, Bosh okayish, Wade is bad. Duncan/Kawhi pretty even for #1 Spur, #2 overall for me
1st Team:
Chris Paul
Russell Westbrook
Kevin Durant
LeBron James
Tim Duncan
2nd Team:
Stephen Curry
Manu Ginobili
Kawhi Leonard
Paul George
Chris Bosh
3rd Team:
Tony Parker
Dwyane Wade
Joe Johnson
Blake Griffin
LaMarcus Aldridge
Centers sucked this year. Thought Joe Johnson deserved some love for a pair of great series. Also not opposed to honoring 1st round exits and Steph was great vs the Clips, only the 1st team guards had comparable series imo. Lillard/Beal right there for the 3rd team guard spots.

Westbrook/CP3 backcourt is a no brainer
