Which duo would you rather have?

Probably Lebron/Davis. Shaq may have been close to his peak level offensively but Kobe's postseason performance was fairly unimpressive relative to what we're seeing out of Davis and Lebron. 26.6/5.8/4.6 20.5 PER 51.1 ts%(-.9 rts%).

Prior to these playoffs I'd probably go with Shaq/Kobe but with how LeBron and AD are playing I'm willing to see how they finish out now before choosing.

Shaq and Kobe. Going to need to see LeBron and AD against a strong defense before I prop them over those two. Even in 02 outside of the Kings they killed everyone.

Close. Shaq > AD but LeBron > Kobe. I voted Shaq/Kobe but it could go either way.

Kobe wasn't as good as he was in 2001 and Shaq was underwhelming defensively at this point. I prefer Davis and James defense over what this duo brings to the table, as it's the worst Shaq defensive season from 3 peat.

I also disagree that Kobe/Shaq duo destroyed all strong defenses in postseason - they struggled against the Spurs a lot (only huge talent difference made them win it relatively easily, Shaq and Kobe underperformed overall), Kings were tough for them as well (though Shaq was still great offensively).

I'd take 2001 Kobe/Shaq over 2020 James/Davis, but here I prefer 2020 duo.
