It's early obviously but is Jokic having the best ever offensive season by a center?

Jokic for me because i see his impact on offense being more portable, scaleable and flexible into more basketball metas and scenarios.
If we are talking strictly about vacuum impact, than Shaq has an argument because in a more post-centric, less talented, slower-paced, horrible ORtg environment of basketball, he might have had more impact compared to the rest of the league than Jokic does compared to his era.

In terms of RS play, Jokic. But I weigh PS a lot, so I guess I should wait until further notice.

Shaq was the anchor of some of the best postseason offenses ever and his overall production was mind-blowing in 2000-02 period. I have to go with him, even though I'm really high on Jokic skillset.

Joker has all kinds of weapons, from knife, pistol, AK47, to grenade, so his offense is more portable. Shaq is just a nuclear weapon. His existence not only altered the games plans of other teams, but also how they constructed their rosters.

I think Jokic is better offensively in today's game.

Prime Shaq had more gravitas than any player in league history. He warps defenses and even warps opposing rosters forcing them to sign stiffs big enough to not get bowled over and provide 6 fouls. As good as Joker is, his shooting and passing advantage is more easily replaceable with other positions. Shaq makes the game easier for his teammates just by existing. Doesn't even have to touch the ball. Kinda like Steph Curry except to an even larger extent. Shaq was double teamed without the ball at times and often tripled as soon as the entry pass was in the air if he had good position. And Shaq was probably the most effective passing center of his era, more than adept enough to make teams pay for multi-coverage.
Jokic is probably a better floor raiser for a bad team (though in this guard centric league there is no shortage of guys who can help Shaq with playmaking and shooting), but Shaq gives a team a much higher ceiling.

I think this will be better reviewed after the regular season ends but i think Jokic as of now is pretty closet shaq. Wait and see how the PS goes
