Denver too. Right now, I think the most likely best case scenario is the 4/5 matchup with them

I hope the good 3 points shooting will continue for the rest of the season and in the playoffs!

Really dislike how Vogel is treating Gasol. Drummond doesn't deserve this, he's a buyout guy. Gasol has a two year contract.

Vogel's rotations have been pretty suspect for the past two seasons now. I don't know why Gasol is seemingly out of the rotation. He's been perfectly fine all season long. The team does well with him on the floor. Play him 10-15 minutes a game.

What's everyone's thoughts on seeding? I feel like the ideal would be Suns dropping to 4, us staying at 5, and Clippers/Nuggets being the 2/3 mostly because I'd love to play the Suns first round, and see the Clips/Nugs have another matchup.

That's a pretty unlikely scenario though. If we assume 1-3 stays as they are, I think the 4 or 5 seed is pretty good for us. Either way, we'll have to play Nuggets, Jazz, Clippers unless the Suns drop to 4 which seems unlikely at this point

Suns Jazz and Clips should be the top 3

Poor Nuggets just lost Jamal Murray it looks like honestly with a knee injury

But if it is us vs Denver (say they are 4 and we are 5) w/o Murray, that may be the easiest option we have

Who is the clippers toughest matchup?

I honestly felt like it was us and Denver, but if Murray is hurt, that is out the window

Can the Mavs maybe give them trouble again?

I don't think Utah or the Suns have the star power, but anyone beg to differ?

Locker room politics—looks like he’s boys with AD and perhaps Bron. There’s less than a 5% chance they’re as effective with Drummond compared with how they played with Gasol — less spacing, worse defense, worse playmaking...Drummond will have to grab every rebound ever and get into the best shape of his life and play A limited role to be effective and I doubt he will.

You wanna bet this completely changes when James and Davis return? The Lakers staff know how to utilize their players in matchups. Come playoffs Gasol will get run when appropriate.

I agree.

Gasol should be getting a consistent 10-15 minutes (even with Drummond starting).

I am a bit concerned with what Vogel is doing.

Murray out for the season. If the Suns can nab the 1st seed (only one game behind the Jazz), the 4th seed actually looks pretty desirable

Yeah brutal for Denver, but from the Lakers' perspective the 4 vs 5 matchup with the Nuggets is the best case scenario now.

How I felt as well

There is a chance its Portland as well

There is also a chance of it being us vs the Mavs at 4/5 as well since their schedule is easy, but they are a bit far away

I would love for a mavs and clippers 1st round again

Yeah I'm pretty much in agreement with you. I think the Suns could give the Clippers a little trouble and maybe push a 6-7 game series, but I doubt they could beat LAC.

With no Murray, probably no other team in the west besides LAL that can take the clips. I don't think there's a scenario where we don't have to beat Jazz and Clippers at this point.

Nuggets without Murray is a good match up for us. Could possibly overtake them in seeding too and get HCA

Caruso was shooting 41% from 3 entering tonight, and went 3/5 tonight. If his shooting keeps up during the playoffs, he's an absolutely elite role player.

2.5 games up on the Blazers now. This next stretch is pretty brutal tho
