The Gasol/AD/LeBron/KCP/Dennis starting lineup was really dominating early in the season. Too bad it's been mothballed because AD is better friends with Drummond. I feel bad for Gasol.

I get extremely irritated every time Drummond tries to establish position in the post and raises his hand up, ruining spacing for the two stars. He just doesn't seem to know his role. He's on a minimum contract, he needs to act like it.

Edit: we can complain about the margins all we like, but at the end of the day, if LeBron and AD aren't playing like the best players in the world, then the role players don't matter. If AD keeps looking like how he's looked all season and LeBron doesn't get over that ankle hesitancy, the margins don't matter.

I thought the Blazers had the tie breaker over the Lakers and the Lakers were currently in 7th place. The Score App has them at 7th, but here's the official NBA account tweeting the Lakers as the 6th seed.

Good lord. Just awful.

No idea why the whole team hasn't gotten vaccinated yet. The play-in tournament is May 18-21, so if he takes the full 14 days to return, he's coming back on the 17th. What a **** of a season.

I'm starting to consider this season a lost cause now. Pretty much everything that can go wrong has gone wrong.

I am so **** done with this POS season

We **** up HARD by not trading for Lowry

Awful halfcourt offense and weak shooting

Why does Dennis not have his damn vaccine? And if he doesn't, what does he continue to do to put him in these situations?

Even Kuzma knows Drummond sucks ass

Trash season. It’s been a mess all year. At least LeBron got a fourth title and next year should be a more normal season. This one looks like a lost cause.

honestly if lebron wants that 5th ring amd fmvp THIS may be the last year for it

Last year's chip required an excellent defence + Lebron playing at an ATG level + AD having a flooky, career best hot streak from mid-range + Rondo being WAY better than anyone expected in every facet of the game + relatively weak competition for a chip last year. Only one of those things (the defence) has been carried over from last year, which might be worse now with Drummond inexplicably getting as much playing time as he is.

Think a chip is out of the cards this year.
Everything that could get worse got worse and everything that needed to improve stayed the same lol.
You said to me “I will give you scissor seven fine quality animation".

You left then but you put flat mediums which were not good before my scissor seven".

What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt?

I hate to toot my own horn, but this is why I was adamant about trading THT for Lowry and not signing Drummond. While it would’ve been nice if the best case scenario outcomes of Drummond being a force in the middle and playing a winning style he’s not capable of/never committed to before and THT being a great contributor this year and turning into a star player for years to come...those just weren’t realistic. And it made the most sense to maximize the window before LeBron retires/declined and contention is no longer in play for the Lakers anyways.

Watching Lowry kill the Lakers last night was tough. He would’ve been awesome for this team. I just don’t see any way the Lakers are able to turn things around quickly enough to reach the Finals this year to be honest.

Not trading for Lowry might go down as one of he worst non moves ever. Looking worse and worse by the day.

And yeah Drummond sucks. Even kuzma came out be said they should play Gasol.

This makes me sad to think about

Each FO Lebron has been with has been incompetant besides the Heat

Next year the nets probably keep everyone back and possibly add Dinwiddie

Maybe Blake, Bruce Brown, and or Jeff Green walk for more money or playing time

But the core is there, plus Joe, DJ, Claxton, Shamet, and they will get other decent role guys

We should go after Lowry in the offseason if we can

I think CP3 is out now

Anyone else?

Maybe Brogdon if Indi wants to rebuild a bit?

this may be my fanboy side talking but i honestly think lebron legacy has had the bad luck of playing with supporting casts clearly worse than popular belief thinks they were. which hurts his legacy more than it should as people think he has been in unfair teams over his whole prime

09,10,18,19 were weak rosters (love by 2018 was only above average yet is counted as a big star), 2015 was a weak roster by the finals, 2017 was a legitimate buzzsaw rival and even 2013-2014 was weaker than it looks cause wade was not really a big star anymore

people will be reductionist years down the road and say that lebron got stacked teams for his whole prime yet "only" won 4 times out of 11, 12~ years despite stacked teams when in reality it would be more like 4 rings out of 8 for healthy years with strong rosters

I don't know if AD always has to face backlash to play aggressive but boy he's been aggressive tonight

AD looking great. Vogel saying this is just minor ankle soreness for LeBron and not a reaggravation as Woj suggested. Portland lost tonight.

It's sunny again.
