JoJo vs Price vs Cheeks vs Rondo

How do you rank them historically? Especially interested to hear what you think about JoJo White, he seems to be pretty underrated, thought he was an outlier FMVP, but seems like he might actually be the best player of those 76 Celtics team, or maybe the second best (only from a superficial observation of stats).

There's no way he was the being best player in the 76 Celtics, but he's a comparable player to Cheeks and Rondo, peak-wise.

Mark Price would rise out of this group, I'd think. Price was a legit All-Nba player, or even arguably top 10; other three barely top 20 players and were weak All-Nba players.

Didn't see Jo Jo White but his stats look real good. All of the other three are about the same level, yet different sort of players.

Price is obviously the shooter here and worst defender, not counting White as I didn't see him play. Cheeks was elite defender and playmaker in his era, likewise with Rondo. All could lead very good teams.

I thought you said stats don't matter?

Cheeks and Price are different level players than Rondo and White. It's arguable between Maurice and Mark, I'd lean forwards Price for peak and Cheeks for career.

JoJo peaked probably the lowest, but his career was more consistent than Rondo's.

It matters, unless you compare them to inferior 1990s players.

Stats don't show heart and soul.

And how exactly are you judging this?

Do you measure the BPM of the heart with a medical instrument or look into the players religious beliefs?

Watch them play

.
But if you haven't seen them play then you said you go look at stats (Which you mentioned in your first post in this thread.)

Is your memory good enough to remember every single player through every single season of their career to remember their heart and soul or do you think utilizing statistics at some point is a good barometer?

Knock it off, it's not germane to the discussion and it's not interesting to anyone else. It's just baiting.

If I had to pick one for my team today I'd lean toward Cheeks. Excellent defender and playmaker who knew his role perfectly. I'd be interested in seeing how he'd run the current Lakers or Sixers. Put Cheeks in the 4th quarter against the Hawks this year and the Hawks don't get out of the 2nd round.
