2.

2017, 2018

I could see an argument against 2018.

I’ll say one. 2010.

Nash was still great but past his peak.

Whatever year Nash got hip checked, think it was 07. They definitely win that one. Maybe 2010 as well.

The dynamic would change quite a bit. Nash is one of the best floor generals of all time. Historically great passer, top 5 of all time.

Neither are going to make a huge impact defensively so we will call that a wash so we are going specifically on offense.

It's interesting because Nash is considered a top 10 perimeter shooter too on top of his Goat stat floor general. His usage rate in the scoring deparement is limited somewhat limiting his shooting ability IMO.

Curry's gravity, and driving skills are enough to overcome the difference between Nashs floor general skills giving the Suns 2 Chips during that span of time.

They would not be a GOAT caliber team. Not even close without rim protection or depth.

They wouldnt need either in that era. they would be the best offense of all time (GSW better overall, but given era suns would score more per possesion).

None? I mean out of all the things you're going to upgrade the Suns, you're going to try to upgrade an all time great offensive player with another all time great offensive player?

The Suns didn't lose because Steve Nash wasn't good enough.

I'm not really sold on them improving much if at all. They are extremely different players. Curry for most of the gs run didn't even run the offense like a traditional pg so I'm not sure at all that he could step in and get near as much as Nash did out of those teammates. It would look and function very differently. Plus you also have Curry's injuries to deal with as well. I am leaning toward 0 or maybe 1 title.

4. Also, with 2015/20 instead of 16/21; it's 5. Nash was not Curry kind of player to paralyze that much easily.

Also, 3 or 4 times FMVP and 2 or 3 MVP's he would get.

Only issue was his defence, Warriors would have not been that much good defensive team. But I prefer resillinecy over 1 SRS drop on the overall team value. Warriors may have been a bit worse team, but they would've won more with Nash.

Nash was a loser and one of the most overrated players of all time.

Replace that choker with Curry and they win multiple titles.

They get worse.

I don’t think Curry was as good as Nash.

And anyway, their issue was their defense…this doesn’t address that at all.

I understand that Curry and Nash's play style are different, but I feel like Curry would improve their chances. I'd say they win no more than one with Curry. I would say 2010 would be their best chance.

Jumping in here: I said zero.

I don't think people understand that Nash's teams were probably the greatest offensive outlier with him on the court in the history of the NBA. Anyone imagining you could incrementally increase that team's scheme just because Curry's a better scorer needs to think it through more, because the Suns operated with 1 guy doing all the thinking for his team, and that man was probably the best basketball decision maker we've ever seen.

It's not just that Curry isn't a Nash-level decision maker though. It's the fact that literally we haven't actually seen Curry try to be a floor general anything like this since Kerr came to town. Hence, if you're imagining Curry literally doing what Nash did (with better shooting), you're imagining something you've never really seen.

Nash was a loser. He got two MVP awards that he clearly didn't deserve and now he's getting comparisons to guys who are in a totally different class.

“Loser,” “Dork,” “Lebum,” etc.—it’s just sad.
