Trio 3 is just unfair...

To be honest, I think that the Bulls trio is the weakest of the three. Not a knock on them, but Bulls Rodman is clearly weaker defender than Green or Garnett. I also have more faith in Allen/Iggy defense than 2nd three peat MJ.

are we calling Iggy, AI now? I was wondering what Iverson was doing in this comparison. 3rd trio has too much going for it

Trio 3, Trio 2, then 96 Bulls. Even with MJ, Pippen, and Rodman at their peaks, I'd still go with Trio 3.

Trio 3, Trio 2 a close second, and then Trio 1.

At first I was confused about A.I. being in here until I saw it was Iggy who’s having a brilliant defensive season this year at age 37.

To me, this requires clarification.

Bulls trio listed as "1996 Bulls". Seems to imply a specific year. No other teams have years. Defensive apex Garnett versus rookie or final year versions would be a significant difference.

Also "no offense" might be accounted for in different ways. Is this to say each is playing their typical offensive game but we're just measuring D. Or are all equally allowed to focus energy on D.

And I'm going with Russell, Sanders, and KC Jones or DRob, Tim Duncan, and Mario Elie because for most of NBA history, the great post help defender had grossly disproportionate impact at that end.

Trio 3 sounds like they could lock up teams under 90 regardless of the pace/era.

I voted Trio 2 because I thought A.I was Allen Iverson -.-

It's Trio 3.
